ok.. i fix/maintain/modify BMWs mostly, and many of my friends and neighbors cars (other makes). I also fix/maintain/renovate our own home projects... occasionally help friends with their home projects too. and lately, with the kids, i find myself fixing broken toys a lot LOL!
i wouldn't mind a new all-in-one computer for the garage.. old one i have is bulky and getting a bit slow... but that's probably more than $500.

Stock up on Toilet Paper?
Personally, I would wait until birthdays and Christmas and use them to pay for gifts.
my employer just gave me $500 in amazon gift cards. i pretty much have most of the things I need.... wondering what you guys would do with $500 to spend at Amazon?
Well that's cheap... really?
If I had $500 for amazon I would go with this:

Of course, I don't know if you already have one or not.

login to your account. Load the gift cards into your Amazon account. Then, wait. They don't expire. Wait until there is something you actually need and then use them. Using them just because you have them is a pretty bad financial plan.

Yes, really. How is that cheap?
Using the gift of someone else to pay for the gifts of someone else? Seems shallow to me

Ironically, shallow to me would be to spend money on something you don't need simply because you have money to spend. We'll have to disagree.
