Ok i am looking to do something with my garage this summer. You will have to look at the pics below to understand.
I want to tear down at least the right half of the garage in the picture. It is in very poor shape, and i (and the boss) would like an attached garage. If i tear down the garage to build new, how would you guys attach it to the house. If possible, im thinking id like to attach it to the room on the left of the house (mud/laundry room). It i did, i would like to make it with a cape cod style with a room above it. If the roofline went the opposite way of the house, how hard would it be to continue it over the existing mudroom? I would make the upstairs accessible by stairs in the mudroom.
Any other opinions? Oh, and this will only be used for parking and light storage. I have a 40x40 in the back for shop/work/mancave.
