I'm sitting Zero on the snappy truck account and Mac accounts.
but about 9.8k on Snap on E.C because of my Modis and Tool box purchase.
Luckily I haven't had either very long and I can afford to pay more than my minimum $65 each week

i try to buy things cash, but I'm a sucker sometimes with the "i want that yesterday" attitude so ill throw between 100-500 on the truck account. i just picked up the screwdriver set with the 2 stubbys and almost split that into two weeks but just had him debit the entire purchase.

I have discovered that one of the principle ways, if not the only way to get the truck to visit you, IS to carry a balance. Most dealers don't visit if you don't owe them money!

I usually pay cash for stuff as much as I can, and I really try to avoid buying **** I don't REALLY need, even though it's tough after seeing some of the cool stuff on this forum. But if I get something big I'll put I on a truck acct (interest free, doesn't affect my credit, it's just an agreement between me and my tool dealer) and I'll pay like 10% a week on it. I've only done this twice. Once was with a $250 coolant vacuum/filler tool and once was about 240 with my Mac dealer for my dewalt 12v max impact driver.

I'm not fond of debt but when it's really interest free I might as well use it. It's pretty convenient. I've never used the actual "snap on credit" and I don't plan on ever using it either.

ive notice that as well!!!

our shop is brand new so its hard to get a truck to remember us and come every week. even when i called up 2 weeks in a row to get my ratchet fixed...

my snap on guy would come once a month! but since now i leave like a 100 dollar balance he comes back every week not even a question if he was or not...

plus! my dealer always has weekly specials!! and for the past 2 months every time i went on the truck its what i wanted to buy in the first place! so i ended up buying it and getting deals! its okay for me to hold a balance on the truck because its Zero interest! lol

I'm at $101, today I dropped $120 but picked up pl400b. It just doesn't feel right stepping off the truck without something in my hand. Plus I concur that having a balance insures a visit by the SO man. I try to keep it under $300, incase I had to pay it off it won't hurt so bad.

I owe about $7k. The Modis was the big hit, then once you get it, you realize you need a bunch of add-ons for scope work. The $360 low amp probe just showed up Monday :willy_nil

Always try to keep it below $500, SSD driver screwdrivers sent it over though. The socket/ratchet specials always kick my ***.

Around $4-500 on the Snap-On truck currently that I need to pay down a little before I buy more tools. Matco truck is currently $128, though I carried $2800 on that truck account earlier this year after buying a toolbox that he ordered for me at their expo.

0 right now, I get frustrated that my dealer does not do any of the good specials like the $99 ones from the florida meeting. and I feel like a lot of the warranty tools I try to get seem to take weeks. I also tried to buy a 40" cart and he told me one price I was ready to buy then jacked it up another 2 grand so I passed, it was more of a want than need anyways

My EC account was at one point up to $4300.00 because my dealer allowed my truck account to go really high. Then, I bought a box for $1800.00 and he rolled it all into one. My truck account was usually $300.00 or so, I paid him 40-50.00 a week. I kept a truck account with all the tool guys because it kept them coming around.

Zero... I can't get a truck to come by my garage and there is no way I'm paying online prices for the tools.

Glad to see I'm not alone. I love the fact that's it's interst free. Like I said, I never like it to go above 300, and I usually pay it down to almost nothing before i buy something else, but it hard to walk off that truck wihtout something!

I owe matco around $7000...

But thats for this, and everything inside it. Plus a ton of tools at home.
CopyofDSC01174.jpg

Considering the fact i bought my first professional tool in 2004... combined with the fact that i have "tax inventoried" at over 45k invested... i am pretty comfortable with the 6k balance number. Minimum payment is $60 i pay $100-150 depending on the week.

I have owed all 4 of our tool trucks at one time. THAT is no fun. i am down to only 1- matco.

And thanks to dave ramsey, our debt snowball is gonna eat that 6k up in no time once it reaches it. Currently have about $1000 left to pay on a car, (we just payed $700 this month on it).

After car loan is paid, i will be paying between $1100-$1300 a month ($275-$325 each week) into that. Plus considering we abolished all our debt, 100% of our taxes (usually 5k) going toward matco.

After that, we will have NO debt. (except for the mortgage)
