I'm curious as to what's spinning around in your head. :D

Which Toptul's have you been thinking about getting or would like to?

I already have some Toptul, 4 ratchets, every wobble extension and 4 rails of sockets, BUT I want more. I would like to try out the impact sockets and the long combination wrenches.

I have a bunch of locking extensions coming, impact and regular. I also have a 24in breaker to give a try, some extra long combination wrenches, and every universal socket they make. Oh, and I think some wobble extensions will make it here too.

The other things on my first wishlist were the 75 degree offset wrenches, but Mike doesn't have them yet. Unfortunately (for my wallet), I found out that there is a second set of those with the big sizes now, so that is also going to be on my next order...

Extra long wrench sets both metric and SAE. A few open end wrenches as well to help complete a set. I'm also going to have to try a socket set or two.

im wanting to try:

3/8 swivel head ratchet (love my snappy)
some shallow and deep sockets to fill up the hansen trays my craftsmen set did not.
go through impact screw drivers
few extensions, mostly 3/8 to start

if they stuff goes well i will look to them for more 1/2 and 1/4 stuff. and possibly the 15 degree offset reversible ratcheting wrenches, but its gonna be hard for them to beat craftsmans price.

And your order would consist of what? :D

I actually can't remember and lost some files when my computer crashed. But, I know I ordered the wire crimping kit, various 3/8 drive extensions, 1/4 drive 12 pnt shallow and deep fractional and metric sockets, the file set, metric ratcheting wrenches, an impact socket set, and I think a metric flared nut wrench set. I already have a 1/4 and 3/8 drive fine tooth ratchets which have become my "go to" ratchets.

speaking of waiting...I'll be working the long weekend and should be caught up by Tuesday of next week with the wish lists.

This also means if I get a new inquiry I will respond but put them off until the lists are are done. It's only fair since you all have been waiting and not really yelling at me.....yet!

Interesting how many ******** "Buy American" guys are enamored with Toptul. This IS NOT a shot at anyone here or the brand, merely an observation.

Because people want cheap goods...nothing in my wishlist. I buy
American tools when ever I can, and then usually used.

I would like to get this to organize my sockets. I have quite a few and I would like to get them better organized. I even like the green.

I like the bottom one the best:

Whats even more amazing is how some people jump all over foreign made tools but 75% of the goods we buy everyday from clothes to food is from overseas. This is not a knock on any of the die hard truck tool guys but if you actually break down what your buying everyday it would make you sad inside. Its impossible in todays age to buy strictly "MADE in THE USA" Period. There is so much trickery in items that are stamped made in the usa its unreal, Example Hein Werner Lifting equipment, It may say Made in the Usa on there website but when the check gets cut it has Shinn fu on it. Does Toyota trucks that are assembled in Princeton Indiana by U.A.W workers Make them completely Foreign? All im saying is that its not always cut and dry and im sure there is money that goes overseas when Snap on, Mac tools are sold. Somewhere... Somehow... Somebody who doesent speak english is getting paid for your purchases. Just because you pay 500 dollars for a 1/2 drive socket set doesnt mean 500 dollars is going into America's bank account. I own just about every brand of tool and in these trying times when i need a tool im gonna do whats best for me in the long run.

Their sockets look magnificent; to say the least. :)

Looks and working are two differing things looks do not matter. Judging by another thread with actual measurements of just a 14mm socket they are on par with every other piece of cheap Pacific Rim tool quality. ( junk at best)

funny, the people who are super critical don't have the tool in their hands. I mean to not like a tool made in Taiwan is completely understandable to me. I get it.
But to not have the tool, and then make the comment that it is comparable to 'junk' from the pacific rim.....makes me think someone is insecure. Also I wonder if this person has the same attitude towards Shimano or Campy???
Just curious.

By the way, I think this forum and the members rock....even the super crtitical members.

Sincerely,

BS
Been using them hard for almost a year now.
They are good sockets.
I have cheap Taiwan stuff from HF, Craftsman, Matco, Snap-on Easco, Cornwell, vintage Thorsen, etc. etc. etc.

The TopTul is among the best, finish, sizing, strength.
I have not broken one yet.
This year I have broken one Craftsman, and wore the finish off others.
I have also wore the finish off the HF ones I use in wrecking yards.

Which, by the way, hold up better than the Craftsman sockets, even though they cost about 40 cents a socket.
Thickness of metal is not the main criteria of strength, I’m afraid. The super thin Taiwan HF sockets are way sturdier than many of my much thicker sockets.
The TopTul hasn’t even started to peel chrome, round out in the drive end or chip, unlike most my much more expensive sockets do.

If the quality is as good as everyone says it is I would not mind getting my hands on one of these.

The ¾ inch drive ratchet that has 43 teeth, model number CHFS2451. If he has the current price list on there, $39 is not bad at all. Since I am addicted to ratchets this might be one of those tools I might never need but is good to have just in case.:bounce:

a new Taiwanese tool does much for the us economy than a used US made tool.

lets assume the international freight shipping company isn't american, and doesn't employee a US crew, but this is possible.

the dock's are all manned by US long shoreman. They get dropped on trucks driven by US citizens. and then mike (and his emplyees?) get some money.

compared to a crazy old guy who gets two bucks to get a budlight tallboy on the way home, but atleast the beer is US made and grown, so its debateable.

I really don't understand the ******** American only guys on this forum......

As long as the tool is of good quality, I could care less where it is from.

But, as someone once said, "different strokes for different folks."

Nothing, nothing, and nothing. I buy American or German, not taiwanese

Check the tag on your underwear, or your shoes, hell the computer your using to browse this forum. I only buy american sounds Great but is Impossible in all aspects of life PERIOD. Dont get me wrong i sympathise with your loyalty to certain tool manufacturers or country of origin. Me myself i try and spread the wealth around i buy alot of my House remodeling material from the Mom and Pop hardware stores and almost all my groceries from the locally owned stores instead of the superwalmarts etc.. its my way of feeling like im making a difference which is also why as long as the workmanship is there im gonna spend some money with Mike from Spokane, Wa, Yes he is selling toptul tools but he's not doing it for free, so money out of my pocket into his is generating cash flow some where down the line for America. My 2 cents Im not judging anybodys values or how or what they spend there money on. It is in fact there money.

Concensus of opinion here is Toptul is a quality product at a reasonable price, equal to or better than Craftsman. Some even claim they approach tool truck quality. What if Toptul or some other Pacific Rim concern were to kick it up a few notches, use better materials, tighten up their specs, tolerances and quality control. If they were able to make a tool equal to Snap-on, ( Not just hearsay, actually tested & verified by experts), for less money, would anybody change their mind?
