A good half day in my workshop has seen my offcuts measured and cut to size and mocked up.

I've made my boxes about 1 1/2 inches longer in length and about 11 inches in width.

I gone with what suits my general requirements best, as well as making best use of my materials.

Once all the pieces had been cut out and I got myself the correct wood screws, all that was required was a bit more time to assemble each of the 4 boxes and add wheel stops at both ends.

The wheel stop installed accurately also become a lock for stacking that prevents slip or movement.

I intent to make another 4 boxes of a different height sometime soon to provide my with more options with the capacity to build up 2 boxes for a greater lift.

I decided to paint these stands as a means to help hide my bad wood work skills.
So I got a coat of primer on today.

And finally it is amazing what a lick of paint does to improve an average job.

Wheels stands I built so I could actually work on a buddies MG race car. I did the 2 x 4 cribbing on top of a Harbor Freight furniture dolly. Raised the car up to working height AND made it movable... Worked very well...

Mine are 4 PT 4x4's standing on end with a piece of PT 2x12 across the top. They're sheathed in 1/2" OSB. Basically scraps I had laying around. I store them outside.

Thanks airrj, I am currently making a 2nd set of 4 as I had mentioned earlier that I would.

Boy, I am getting quicker at putting them together now.
They sure chew up the screws...
