I'm hoping the expertise here will know who makes this tool. I've seen it, but nobody knew who made it, they all got it second hand, and the name was gone. I've searched and searched and I can't find one like it.

It's a valve core remover that screws onto the valve stem itself, and has a screwdriver that stays in it and you turn the valve core out with that. It has holes on the part that screws onto the valve stem for the air to bleed off. The valve core can't come out of the tool and go flying this way, which is nice with 200+ p.s.i. aircraft tires.

It looks like just the round part of this tool:

Plus, one of these through the center of it:

Any ideas:confused::wtf:

You rule! Thank you.:bowdown: It's fancier and more expensive, but it's a good start. I haven't even seen anything online before that.

No prob, I should thank you i found a niffty tire gauge when i went to search for it. I could use one of these in the car, it get annoying switching back forth with a gauge and the tire inflator

I got a Milton 506 or at least I think that's the model number, inflator / gauge similar to that for Christmas. Used it Sunday to check and fill all the tires (including spares) on the Escape and Colorado. So much easier when you're not constantly switching back and forth between two tools.

No, I have those, they don't work, not well anyway.

Um Nissan are you looking for a valve core tool that you can change cores with without letting the air out ? I have one I use on HVAC systems to change out leaking valve cores ? if so I can get you a make and model number.

Rick

Just the opposite, I'm looking for one that holds the core and still lets the air out.

this an aviation specific tool adapted to other applications as you can see by the many other ideas that people have posted. this tool can typically stand up to 3500 psi of pressure. it's a safe-cor tool p/n 968rb and they run $30-$40 from my local snap-on truck
