Funny this was one of the most viewed threads ever.........
To each his own. Personally I prefer to hang out on a forum that has that comfortable feeling of being "home" like your favorite bar or sitting around a campfire with good friends. A place where you can discuss just about anything without the worry of being "politically correct" or the fear of offending someone with thin skin. Naturally everyone has the option of skipping past subjects they have no interest in but a place where the rigid "carved in stone" rules we all have to deal with in our workplace don't exist. To put it into plain words, a place you can kick your shoes off and be yourself. The "real" world has way too many rules as it is. The forums I hang out on regularly (and consider contributing to) are the ones where I can put the rules out of mind for awhile.I never had any use for "off topic" threads or folders in forums. Wanna talk politics, find a political discussion forum. Wanna talk your pet, find a pet forum.

A mod didn't appreciate the fact that people repeatedly ignored his reminders not to post ******. So,the thread died.
It's simple people. That action teaches self-moderation.
If we all know a good thread will get axed if someone gets out of line, we will all jump on whomever broke the rules to fix it fast. That way the mods won't have to remove the thread. It's self-correcting.
When I played sports, if a player was late, or missing something, we all ran laps. This made us all make sure we were all on time and had all our gear. And we were late less, and showed up prepared.
Learn from it, move on. There's tons of women pics all over the web. Try Google.
If someone wants to have a meaningful dialogue, then PM the mod who deleted the thread.
this aint bout the hot women thread, i had no beef with that, as someone said earlier , just dont open if it dont interest you,,,, but i was wondering how do you know which or whom,,,"the mod" is that deletes a thread
Well, in this case the mod in question posted in the thread more than once, reminding people not to post stuff that isn't allowed here i.e. "nips and lips," so to speak. He then made a final post before closing the thread. That sat there a while until he deleted the thread.
So, if people loved the thread so much and were in it all the time, did no one even bother to notice the mod asking for cooperation? Everyone was blinded by *****?
I guess we all should have gone to the ONE offenders house & made him stop ? The comparison to making the entire team run laps when 1 player is late is lame. The difference is we are not children. Punishing the person responsible for poor behavior is how adults do things. What amazes me the most is that this concept needs to be explained at all...
My apologies. I didn't pay that much attention to that particular thread. My comments were more towards other dissapearing threads and the practise of punishing the entire "class" because of the bad behavior of a few. I stand by my opinion that it's not the proper way to treat adults. For the record you seem to be one of the more level headed mods around here and your efforts are appreciated. Have a great day.
Done. Thanks and have a great day.As I mentioned in my PM just a few seconds ago, I take back what I wrote in my reply directly above your most recent post. The olive branch has been extended.

Doing that (I'll not get into the "personal, he didn't like it" issue) shows a serious lack of maturity on the part of someone who's supposed to be a leader. Instead he simply hurts everyone instead of doing the right thing. That's sad, very sad. It was deleted.
