So when I did this writeup for my EZ Red ratcheting handle I managed to lose one of the pawl springs which of course keeps my ratchet from... Well, ratcheting properly. The spring I need is .057x.125 give or take on the length.

I can find those size springs in just about any material, music wire, stainless, inconel, and some metal from SR-71 control cables but the lowest price I found is $1 each with a minimum order of 25. I just dont need 24 extra ant sized springs.

So when YOU make the same bonehead mistake playing with your new toy where do you get your replacement springs?

Or... Who wants 24 for $1 each plus a stamp? :D

Try pulling the spring out of an empty disposable lighter. It's under the striking wheel and pushes the flint up to the wheel.

Gut a VCR, perhaps a tension spring inside can be stretched out and cut to length. An old time gun store might have something too.
