Sorry smart remark, ignore. But is that the old TIP?
There is a lot of good advice in this thread, just not all good for someone already confused. He is a poster child for a small sand pot when it gets to the end. Most advice contrary to this is really poor for this poster.
One thing about the hard abrasive products, shield them from bounce, you will find it 100 ft from where you were working.

I hate to break up the sandblasting party but one of he best and quickest ways to strip paint from a car is with a variable speed polisher and an eight inch diameter sanding disc with 80 grit paper. Do not exceed 800 rpm as above that the paper will load but at 800rpm and below you are basically shaving the paint off and you will be able to remove a lot of paint with very few discs. Do as much of the car as possible this way and there will be a lot less to sandblast.

Tha HF thing in the link is junk, its for blasting a spot about the sire of a quarter,,, ha

what exactly qualifies it as junk??? I am seeing a lot of reviews, both positive and negative, and most of the negatives are coming from those who just simply prefer their own brand and want to downplay all of those that are cheaper

Why don't you tell us what type of compressor you have, what are your future projects and budget?

Sandblasting rigs open a "whole can of worms" if you don't size your equipment right.

I have a 60gal 5HP unit...more than big enough for most any application I will be needing...I have no intentions on stripping an entire car or a frame, but valve covers, manifolds...likely nothing much larger than the wagon I am building for my son, which is too large for a cabinet

Sounds like you have the "min" that I would recommend to make your blasting enjoyable. Smaller tanks with low CFM make for an undesired day of wasted time. Blasting in a box is much less messy. If you don't mind building your own box, there is a thread on here from TPtools with plans to build your own box. Save money and build to size!

Oh and another idea is, you could repair the rust and have it powder-coated. Powder-coating needs to sandblasted first so maybe have them blast the spots you want, repair it and then bring it back for final blasting and coating.
