Which service cart to get?

So I am in the market for a cart for home use. At work I have the craftsman plastic service cart and it works good because all I do is maintance and carry a couple tools, paint and a ladder and it's within office tile. Nothing extreme.

However at home when I am working on my car or other stuff, carrying my plastic tool boxes is now a hassle. I don't have a garage but just a long drive way and my tool box is inside an 8x4 resin shed. So here I am ready to invest in a cart. Now from the area that I work on my cars to my shed is about 19ft apart and the concrete is semi bumpy.

My question to you guys is if it's best to invest in a plastic utility cart like the craftsman one that I use for work.

Or a gladiator like this one:

Basically all am asking for a cart that has good casters that will survive and not fall apart. Am open for a minimum of $300 at least.

Thanks in advance!

Ok thanks peeps. [emoji2]
Will be going tomorrow to pick it up. Just wanted to make sure I'll be getting something that will withstand the moving and heaviness that I usually put on myself 3 days a week.

Yes normally they have plenty of both. They should even have swivel and non-swivel they have a little section of casters all different shapes and sizes.
The only problem I had was they wouldnt hold air but that was a few years ago so Im sure youll have better luck.

Check out this thread for lots of cool stuff with the carts http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137365

If you have a napa near by go and see if they have any of these left. I think they stopped making them a few years ago.My local store still has 2 of them and I bought this one a year ago. I really like it and I think I paid about $400 for it. I added the shelf.b356ad1938f42ae33c0bbc17ea1f5eca.jpg

From what you describe I would suggest the black hf 4 drawer. A bit smaller and more controlable. Also a tad cheaper at 99 bucks. The money saved can be put to buying more tools.

That cart looks really good and definitely wouldn't mind getting it. Unfortunately I am nowhere near a napa store. Just a bunch of autozones n O'Reillys. I googled the closest one to me and it's about 40 mins away.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Yeah I'll be going today to HF to pick one up. If the black one also has the ability to modify the casters?

There is a yuuuge thread on here regarding modifications people have made to the HF 5-drawer cart, which you can spend about an entire day reading, if so inclined.

I have a two-drawer that I purchased from Lowes a few years back. It was on clearance, and it has a flip-up table on both sides. I'm planning on modifying it so the lid is permanently open, with a pegboard mounted to it, with sides that either fold out over the side tables or slide out (haven't decided yet). It lives in the garage and will get pulled out into the driveway on occasion. That way, the pegboard can hold racks of screwdrivers, open-end wrenches, and so on, for easy access.

No I don't, I'm actually going to do it to a snap on 55" box for home, I'm going to weld a subframe under it for the casters.
