At some point this week or weekend come hell or high water (high water is more likely) I'm going to run power to my barn. I'm using 1 1/2 pvc. I've only got about about a 4-5 feet to tie into the existing pvc to the right of the meter.

I'm having mixed feelings about where to enter the house at. The main panel in the house is flush mounted and behind the meter box.

Option #1 is to try to go right below the SEU cable from the meter. I'd have to put an LB, box adapter and access panel on the interior wall, which I'm fine with. The only thing is the two LBs wouldn't be perpendicular to the wall. The knockout in panel is a little to the right (looking at the panel, inside) of where the SEU enters the panel putting it at a little bit of an angle.

Option #2 is to come straight out of the exterior wall and just to the left of the meter feed. So the conduit would be passing in front of the meter's conduit. Not sure if that's legal or not but IMO it kinda would look messy that way.

Here's the pic so you guys can see what i'm talking about:meter panel.jpg

If you connect to the load side of the meter in the meter can, you will open up a can of worms, that is if the lugs can even support a second set of conductors.

Im not tying into the meter. I'm running a feeder to my barn from a breaker in the house. Just so happens the main panel is kinda behind and a little lower than the meter box.

I'm not totally clear on what you're planning, but if you're talking about buried conduit can you come up to the left of the meter in the picture, LB through the wall, and LB again on the inside to go into the side of the panel?

I thought the same when i read the OP.

No, I'm not tapping into the meter. I was home one day when Poco changed out the meter and it's not dual lugged.
So just kind of imagine that on the inside wall the bottom of the main panel is about 8-10 inches below the bottom of the meter box. SEU cable enters the bottom of the main panel.
What I'm getting at is, is it against code to put an LB turned at an angle when entering a house.
Or would it be against code if I ran the conduit, buried, on the left side of the meter feed conduit and into the wall?

Now I'm thinking it would be almost as easy and simpler to buy a few feet of the same size SER and a junction box?
