who has a full socket set up and how is it organized?

Here's mine. I built custom metal socket rails for a lot of my stuff, I also have some harbor freight hansen style organizers. I keep my impacts and ratchets in a different drawer

Does anyone make storage strays that fit 3 rows of sockets? Like the Hansen except for short/mid/deep?

I have been looking for awhile but I think my best bet may be using single rails and riveting them on a tray. I just hate how the pieces on those single rails inevitably move.

you could cut and epoxy or plastic weld 2 units together for a homeade setup.

what i did was use 1/4 inch rails for my mid lengths. i have 6pt sockets on the front row and 12pt sockets on the back row.
i have kobalts and they work fine for this.

My socket collection is so large, it required two Toolbox's/Drawers to contain it! When I had ONLY sockets in a SINGLE drawer, I almost broke a Drawer Glide and the toolbox would lean over when the drawer was pulled open! MORE than a little scarey!

I have a 60 inch and a 84 inch EPIG Snap-On Toolboxes! BOTH the large top drawers are full of sockets and air drives! The thinner drawers, immediately under the extra wide drawers, holds all the hand ratchets and extensions!

Here is my Pliers drawer, piers only! Another drawers holds all the electrical pliers with the solderless **** connectors! And another flat Drawer holds all the odd/large Vise Grips!

Ernst socket boss have 3 rows and very easy to swap out sizes. I believe they make a 18" long tray and a 13"

I thought I had a full set of sockets, then I bought the harbor freights socket trays. 6 for chrome sae, 6 for chrome metric, 2 for metric impacts, 2 for sae impact, plus a few rails for square drive, flex sockets, and semi deeps.

I love the trays, but found out how many sockets I was missing. I have every craftsman socket but i am about 30 sockets short and have been filling in with other brands as I find the remaining sizes.

Gearwrench rails are the most cost effective, space efficient, durable for me. I do have all of my chrome metric ones on a mechanics time saver 5 row tray but it's very space inefficient

slightly off topic and most likely know the answer, but anyone know of any Hansen type trays for Whitworth sockets? trying to organize my socket drawers a bit better.. and got loads of whitworth stuff (which does see occasional use)

Separate drawers for 1/4", 3/8", 1/2"
Metric on the left, SAE on the right.
Socket rails cut to length, front to back.
Rails lay on their sides, sizes facing up.
(Oddballs and monster sizes live in a separate drawer.)

Here's 2/3 of'em. The 3/4" and the 12 points have their own 2ft wide drawers. Plus I just bought a complete set of 1/4" impacts a couple months back along with three more Ernst 3 rack-racks that all needs to be squeezed in here.
