I hadn't looked that closely at this hand plane or if I did I've forgotten. I was thinking it was a Stanley No 4. I just noticed the twisted lateral adjustment lever and that there is no "Stanley" or "Bailey" casting on the base. It came with a Handyman lever cap and the iron appears to be a more recent vintage Stanley (maybe even from a Handyman series plane). There is a "U" stamped or cast into the front of the frog. "MADEINU.S.A." casting in front of tote. "No 4" casting in front of knob. Knob and tote appear to be rosewood. No stamp on lateral adjustment lever. Thanks!
