some have said wright but that is rather sketchy. wright may have made them but i sure as hell doubt they wanted their name on them.
i would not call them heavy duty or stout. craftsmanship is mediocre and they only have about 18 or so clicks. they are similar in looks to an sk frankenstein but sk never made a 1/4 drive.
they are also built differently. the pawl is the round bar that slides back and forth in the head. there is a spring and ball bearing in the handle that allow the pawl to slide back and forth on a detent. the anvil is held in place by a press fit ring on the socket side. the sockets and extension are poorly made and nothing that would signify quality. there is nothing on the sockets, extension, ratchet, box or packaging that would suggest it being us made which leads me to question wright
if i had to guess i would say something along the lines of late 50's to early 70's globemaster, great neck or similar low budget line that may have been found in the local drug store, dime store or bargain bin at the hardware store. they might do in a pinch but i surely wouldn't want to do anything serious with them.
