I cleaned up the patio at the end of October and washed and waxed the vehicles two weeks ago so bring on the white stuff. We actually have a little on the ground at my office in the NW suburbs but nothing in Indiana yet - they're saying possible snow accumulation for monday into tuesday.

My HOA does snow removal from driveways and sidewalks but they do such a bad job, I try to shovel it before their trucks show up. I've been saying that I'll buy a snowblower every year I've lived in my house but something more important always comes up - last year was unemployment, this year it's medical bills.

This past weekend I hoisted all of my landscaping equipment up to the attic over the garage and got down my TORO snowblower. I haven't actually started it yet but I'm sure she'll be just fine. I'm crazy about prepping everything before I put it away, so I"m sure I just need gas and she'll start up right away. Anyway, I'm looking forward to blowing some snow (and maybe going sledding soon) but am not crazy about dealing with the cold Chicago weather/traffic. Everyone else still in denial or are you ready?

I'd start that thing right away. Last thing you want to do is find out it won't run with the snow on the ground and you've gotta fix it.

Patio furniture stored, vehicles waxed, winter wheels cleaned and ready to install this weekend. Also, have rubber floormats clean and ready. Need to get snow blower down and ready (needs new paddles and scraper bar). Also need to dust off kerosene heater. That should do it.

Lawn tractor is cleaned and waxed and ready for a nap. I got the toro started but the auger does not engage - shear pins are in place - now if only I could get the thing to come apart then maybe I would be able to fix it.

Lawnmower has been winterized, ready for storage. Snowblower is ready to go. Putting on winter tires this weekend. Insulate the water taps outside. Almost ready to go :)

I'm NOT ready for winter. I'm at work right now, looking out the window watching it SNOW! That might not be unusual for some, but I live on the Texas Gulf Coast! I've lived here for 50 years and this is the 4th time in my life I have seen snow. It snowed around this time last year too! Global warming my ****!

Thursday was 30'F. Went to the shop and loaded up some wood and started the fire. Went to do some minor stuff and was back in 20 minutes. I was able to work in the shop with out a jacket immediately and was sweating by the 3d load of wood! 30x36 with 18' ceiling. My stove is one of those 55 gal steel drums with cast door, feet and flue. I'm happy.
