1. Charging the same money for an inferior chineese product as they did for the old US made product
The old has got cxheaper, sears has consistantly cotten cheaper over the years. Its really a big, the major part ofd the downfall. The profit margins being so low it puts a squeeze on. They should have held some higher ground.

I think they are, have been a bargain brand, why worry so much about warranty on this cheap junk. I think in all the years busted 3 or 4 chicom end wrenches banging with impact, a half a dozen impacts and couple dozen sockets, cman, mostly right out of the box from the 1980's or so. As a guess 5% of 500. I have a little bunch to take back now, most in sizes we needed duplicates in and over 30 yrs all the broke hard line tools wouldnt have added up to a couple hundred dollars if they were not covered.

Replaced a 15mm deep impact deep ther other day. Lowes for under 6 and bought another 1/2 x 3/8 drive deep chrome under 5$ and I was in Menards an hour later had USA for 4 so I ****** another one.

They might turn up yet but looked for the 15 and could have used it a couple times, went to both wells on rthe 1/2 and they were empty. Count do anything easier and cheaper than to replace them.
