Yes sir, 400 amp service. One box on each side of the shop to make it easier to pull wire to the equipment without having to run the length of the shop constantly.

Thanks, did you arrange the two boxes in a "Y" from your meter or 400a in the first box and say 200a in the second, like a daisy chain?

The meter is not a residential meter from my understanding. It has a set of lugs for the feed and two sets of lugs to parallel off on the exit side. One set goes straight into the breaker panel behind the meter and one goes into a 200a disconnect (for code) then conduit to second breaker panel.

Haven’t posted in a while due to work but here is a short update.

One of the cars is enjoying the shop full time.

I got some of the sanded plywood up on the exterior of the “office” area.

And the car trailer has a temporary home until I get the pad poured on the side of the building.

It has been a long time since I posted an update. The shop is coming along.

I built a compressor closet underneath the stairs to quite down my new Bel-Aire 60 gallon compressor and installed a Max Air kit to one of the major places I need air. Still need one more 150ft kit to get to the other side of the building but that will come later.

Today I finished up the first wall I sheeted with 3/4” plywood. This wall will have some more equipment against it in the near future. Just need to decide on some paint.

I do have a couple new videos up on the shop o. YouTube. Need to make another one of those too.

Question, do you have a vent in the wall for the compressor to have enough air? I see the gap under the door, but was just asking the question. May need a vent from the outside that you could close off during the times you would not need it. May be I over thinking this situation.

The door has a larger than normal gap at the bottom. I cut a little off. I wanted to see how that works before putting a larger vent to the side of the door. I do have a pretty stout exhaust fan that pulls air in and vents it out the wall.

So far hasn’t been a big issue. Compressor stays pretty cool when running.
