They aren’t. The male prongs and female connector are still exposed to weather . Only the prongs to cord wire are sealed.
I wouldn’t take a bath with a cord like that in the tub.
Will Rigid replace extension cords under warranty?

I was gonna put a 100 foot cord on the vacuum cleaner so I could reach the whole house. But then bought another identical vacuum for upstairs so two 50' cords oughta do it.

When I was a toddler in the early fifties, my favorite nap time toy was an extension cord. I have pictures of me napping in the crib with my cord.
None of this Teddy Bear or favorite blanket for me. Just the extension cord. I wouldn’t take a nap without it.
Talking to my mother in her later years, she related how she eventually felt so naive as a young mother so as to let me have that cord. She thought that would probably be considered child abuse in today’s climate.
She was probably right.

Just out of curiosity, are you naturally gifted in electrical stuff? I am, I've never been an apprentice but (not to brag, just stating it like it is) I'd pit my knowledge of electricity against anyone and likely come out ahead.

Well, there's the problem, he should have put weathertight ends on them. I have a couple cords with weathertight ends as they live outside, been outside for years with no evidence of corrosion.

That circuit stuff didn’t work for me. I turned to become a mechanical engineer instead. Engines interested me more than wires.

I still have vague recollections of getting my first electric shock. Based on where we were living at the time I had to be three or at most four..
Fortunately it was only a 120v circuit. Don’t recall exactly it happened, but I had outgrown the extension cord by then.
My grandson will be a senior in high school this year. He still has the “hockey blankey” (blanket) ” my sister in law made for him when he was an infant, and he’s not afraid to admit it.

That's how Ridgid is able to offer a "lifetime warranty"...can't take it back to the seller, so ship it back to them and they deny it. I had their drills and never had an issue. Gave them to my parents when I upgraded to DeWalt. I have no ill will toward Ridgid, just not a brand I'm going to buy again (outside their packout style boxes).
Also, maybe OP should get a gas mower and skip the granny mower...

Seriously though, off it were me, I would simply cut the bad ends off and install new ones. It's not all that hard and not that much money and a lot less hassle.
Plus, if Rigid refused to warrantee then, I would have to hate them.
