I purchased one off eBay (JB Tools) with a 15% coupon for $314.49 today. Seems like the best deal available currently.

Someone actually weighted those two side by side or is this based off of some shipping weight? I have shipped several of the 75th black ones so I have their weight to see...this ebay auction reference 49 lbs for the green version, the black one was about exactly the same, if memory serves but I can ck my fedex records.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wilton-Tra...ilton+1755&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313

I just weighed my blue version in at 49 pounds by itself.

Amazon shows both, and there's a 10 pound discrepancy when you factor in the 4 pound hammer in the box for the Black version.

Has anyone weighed their anniversary edition? I would be curious.

No. No one has taken the time or care to weigh them side by side.

Wilton did not retool a mold, cast one off smaller shittier vises with the same part numbers as the blue ones. Yes. They are hammered BLUE , not green.

They are the same identical vise. One is blue. One is black.

Amazon weights are figured high for shipping purposes. Their weights never match anything. Quit loosing sleep and conspiracy theories of a cheaper more hollow vise as you posted in another post....

Their weight is right on the money for the 1745, 1755 (blue), 1765, 1780, 450s, etc. So your clueless comment is erroneous.

You should have something intelligent to say before you type.

I'm simply asking if anyone with one of the anniversary edition ever weighed it. If it isn't the same vise, people should know before they jump all over it.

Here is one going out I shipped, no hammer. I jam brown heavy craft paper in as much as I can until NO movement whatsoever in the box occurs, but did that paper add a few extra pounds? No idea but I know those 75th versions weight right @ 49-50 lbs, IMHO

Ok guy. Five minutes on amazon says you are 100% wrong.

Not one weight on amazon is the same or correct. Do you know how amazon works? Amazon’s listings are based of of the sellers input and descriptions.

Three months ago the weight listed for a 1780A was 88lbs. I know this because I used 88 lbs on my eBay auctions selling four of them. They weigh 118lbs as shipped from wilton.

I’ve sold 6 1765’s. Not one of these weights on amazon is correct. There is 5 listings and each one has a different weight listed.

I’ve sold 3 1755’s. (Two blue, one black). 52lbs is the shipping weight as delivered from wilton for the vise. 61lbs for the vise, hammer and bigger box.

So. Let’s be practical here. How does a 49lb vise with a 3 pound box and a 4 lb hammer equal 3 lbs less than the vise itself weighs? Maybe scroll down and see the shipping weight on the anniversary vise you’re freaking out out being “not the same”. Guess what. It’s 60lbs. That’s close. The anniversary one with hammer I sold on eBay was 61 on my refrigerant scale.

Want more proof., a 1745 weighs 2.2lbs on amazon. Lolol

Quite worrying about the damn vise. It’s the same identical vise as the blue one.

The one you seem to have a chip on your shoulder about.

Same 1765 with nickel plated handles for outdoor corrosion protection. Oh it’s black too.

This is perhaps the most retarded post I have read on the Internet this month...

If you were honing your skills as a troll, then I give you props. If your reading comprehension is really that poor, then I suggest that you enroll in some sort of GED program.

Same vise, different color.

Waited a long time but pulled the trigger on one of these this week.

Initially ordered on Amazon @ $375, but canceled that order after 3 months without it ever shipping.

Beware, as far as I can tell the listing on Amazon represents ghost stock and if you try that route it will never show up.

Anyway, got mine from ebay shockingly fast; I paid Monday night at 7:30 PM and it was on my porch on Wednesday. Certainly didn't hurt that the seller's location shows Ohio and I'm in metro Detroit but still- basically overnight shipping on a 70 lb package.

One question for the vise vets on mounting- I haven't mounted it yet as I don't have the hardware, but looking at it on the bench, the static jaw doesn't seem to overhang the bench edge. Am I using the wrong end of the flange? The template seems to indicate that the narrower of the two pairs of bolt holes is the 'front'.... But I definitely don't want the static jaw face over the bench. Needs to overhang.

Take another look at the template. It shows the wider spread holes towards the front edge of the bench. If you mount it this way the static jaw will hang over. (not by much).

I don't know how to read, apparently.

Thanks.

Anyone know where one of these is still on stock?

Wilton has cancelled their USA made Tradesman line. Buy sooner rather than later else the price will be sky high. The new stock number for 5.5 incher is 28806 and it no longer says made in USA.

Should be interesting. I don’t see a lot of people paying $650 for a vise made in Taiwan

Well then I’d really like to snag one of the last one of these sitting on a shelf somewhere

I noticed about a month ago the surplus of these #63200a combos has dried up on these, at one time (2016) you could get one new from amazon for $273 shipped, ask me how I know :bounce: but no more...the partys over.

Lol. Damn you. Looks like you need room on a shelf. I can help free up space.

I just looked up stock and saw some leftover stock of these and the 1745. The country of origin is showing Taiwan on all of the new part numbers.
