So I have been watching for a good large vise locally since I finished up my welding table this spring. Until yesterday I hadnt had any luck at all with the only vises I had been seeing were for sale by guys who where cleaning vises up and flipping them. This C2 wilton popped up on marketplace yesterday only a few miles down the road from me. While $400 was more than I really wanted to spend for a vise I couldnt walk away from it. Other than needing a good cleaning, paint being a little rough, and a few marks on the jaws its in really good shape. So this brings me to my question of how can I tell when it was made? I suspect this isnt that old just by the overall shape its in but I am curious.

Lemons to Lemonade welding/work table build
I have been on the lookout for quite some time for a heavier duty decent size welding table that will double as a work surface for machining projects as well. The little welding table I currently have just isnt big enough to do work of any size on and is not what you would call exactly flat...
