Hello ,im about to order some windows for my 30x44 pole barn and was wondering what size windows some of you guys used for your building,i have a 10ft wall height,2 windows going on one gable end, and 2 windows along one length of building, was going to go with a 24 H x 30 W or wise versa.Seems Home depot is cheaper than most other places i looked.

3020 is a pretty small window. Do you want light, ventilation or view? Have you bought the siding? If not and all you want is light I would recommend light panels mounted high on the walls. Is security an issue?

Great words of wisdom.

I was going with 3 wide x 18", but think I'll go with 3'w x 2' H. Setting top of window at 80". My thought with the 18" set at 80" was I could see out but it would be hard for someone to look in not so concerned with that now. My thought is a bit of light some ventilation and to look out. Also see a lot of 3x3, and 48" x 18" set higher up.

Mine are 5'x5' , I think, on both my shop and garage.

The vinyl sliders let in a lot of light and we don't have much of a security problem up here.

I have six windows, all 36x48 purchased at HD. I enjoy the light in the cooler months, but in the hotter months, I cover them on the inside with reflective foam board. My biggest problem is that the guy that built my 30x40 red iron building apparently didn't install them correctly because i get water leaks around all 6 windows! Nobody around here wants to come and correct someone else's work.
