They are the best strippers I've ever tried at any price. I just noticed today that I only have one pair. I need to go downtown and get some more before Sears closes their doors.

I really like my Klein 1010 multi purpose tool for the little electrical work that I currently do. I'm hoping to hone my skills a bit more and will be looking into separate tools for stripping and crimping.

Ideal Strippers & Klein Crimpers. Got this advise from an old timer retired from the marine electrical business.

I probably have 3 of those klein crimpers. Probably have had 15 or so over the years. I never broke or worn out any. I.would lose them. So I know always have a back up. They are the best plier style crimper IMHO.

Ideal strip masters are sweet, you can buy different inserts, I also have a pair of automatic ones made by Irwin

I like the ideal strippers better than my blue handled klein strippers

Alot of people say the ideal crimpers are better then the klein? I'm in the market for a new pair and can't decide which of those 2 to pick.

I chose the kleins based on 3 factors. 1. Readily available at Home depot and I can go get them if I loose a set. 2, The non- insulated die is in the front. 3. Slimmer design. I CANT be without crimpers. I use them every day ALL DAY. If I leave a set in a car and need a new set I can just got to HD. Being used in a automotive environment the slimmer design comes in handy. Just my opinion but I have been using them since 1996 with zero failures but MANY have been donated to customers under seats and in trunks and various other places.

I have a pair of US Craftsman combo strippers that I use at work. I'm pretty sure they're made by Klein for Craftsman.
Never had a problem with them in 5 years. The strippers work awesome and it cuts anything I need it to. I like that the cutting/stripping area is at the tip, it helps when I'm in tight spaces doing wiring repairs.

I hate hate hate the combo tools. I use 909 for crimpers and 908 and 958 for the strippers for Channellock

If that is the case then the Ideal would be the choice for you. I really cant speak to the quality and durability of the Ideal because I have never even seen them. I tend to buy tools I can touch and feel first. I don't buy many tools online.

I've had this pair of Greenlees for a year. They're tight, well machined, and have held up well. The extra small gauges are great for electronics.

I go with the guys on the T stripper. I actually used them side by side against the Kliens the other day, the Kliens were older but the t's worked so much easier and fit the wire better.

Not if your not looking for Auto strippers

For me the Ideal strip masters are useless in many cases and not need in the rest.

I have a set of Klein 1005

and Ideal 30-429

I like them both for the cheap(er) plastic insulated terminals.. but they tend to cut into the softer heat shrink tubing on better heat shrink/ insulated type terminals.

My Blue Point ratcheting crimpers with interchangeable jaw sets does a better job on those, and is the only way to go IMHO for open barrel terminals and pin terminals for weatherpak and other OEM plugs.

Well too late now but if im not happy with the new Klein I'll try the ideal next.. I never met a tool I did not like (or at least want to buy and try)

The Ideals are several notches above Klein in quality.

I to like the Klein crimpers and use them just about every day, But I also like the T&B WT111M crimpers. I'm old fashioned and still use my basic Miller 100 wire strippers. When you use them enough you go by feel and never use the adjustable notches, I set them so I can just see light through the hole and lock them down, then just feel when it goes into the insulation.
