Are your inverters designed to be used together to provide 240? Would be interested to know. I just did some reading about inverter generators and some are designed to be paralleled but that only gets more current at 120, not 240 volts.
Yes. The Victron Quattro.

Do I need to color code there’s wires. Red, black, white, green. Or is all black ok? Esp if they come off a 1000’ roll.

Ground must be green or bare if it isn't larger than 6. If larger than 6, it can be identified with green tape.

Same for neutral, just use white or Grey for identification.

If you can get a deal on a spool of #2, then it might be worth it, but IMO, this is another advantage of MHF. Wires are already identified and you don't have to pull it all off a spool yourself one at a time

Unless I made some mistake 2224 MHF is $1.61/ft and the same in single strands of XHHW totals to $1.37/ft. So just go with single strands.
Yes, I missed that !

Not relevant for OP, but can XHHW be direct buried ? Does it require conduit above ground ?

Not direct bury. It is single strands so it requires conduit everywhere.

On the pricing I will admit that the difference isn't so big that one isn't always cheaper than the other. I do like the flexibility that XHHW gives in sizes - MHF has limited selection of sizes but in the OPs case he can use one of the common sizes.

You can bury EMT?

Lol. Wrong thread. Was thinking of the 5hp compressor guy
I'd never, ever do it and I am not aware of anyone that would, but as of the adoption of the 2023 NEC, EMT can be buried as long as the proper fittings are used. I do not know, nor do I care what those fittings are. I took a 2023 update class and this is one of the few things I remember from it.

I pulled this off the 'ol interweb since I don't have, and might not ever have a 2023 since we might not be adopting it and if we do, it won't be until late 2025. I'm sure someone on here has a 2023 and can verify it.

2020 Code Language:
358.10 Uses Permitted.
(A) Exposed and Concealed.
The use of EMT shall be permitted for both exposed and concealed work for the following:
(1) In concrete, in direct contact with the earth or in areas subject to severe corrosive influences where installed in accordance with 358.10(B)
