A few weeks ago I picked up a compressor for the garage. The PO had taken it apart into it's 3 parts for transportation in his vehicle. Before I put it all back together I wanted to be sure that the motor ran or if I was going to need to get it rebuilt. When my friend and I tried to wire it up we realized that we didn't know how. It seems that this motor is not like the ones that we have seen before. The motor has 4 black wires labeled 1,2,3 and 4 along with 2 red wires. From what I can see there where only 2 wires coming into the motor from a Definite Purpose Control. So I was hope someone could give me some guidance on how this is to be wired so I don't do any damage. I have attached a drawing of the wiring I have and pictures of the motor.
Motor is a Leland Faraday 3 HP, 115/230volt, 1750 RPM.
Thanks
