I bought this old Wizard ratchet at a garage sale for a $1. It was rusty and I thought it would be an easy fix. I was wrong, the insides were rustiest and dirtiest I had ever seen, it was just packed with dirt. The outside cleaned up nicely though. Anyway when I took the cover plate off, the selector snapped off of the pawl, and I was wondering how to fix it. My friend suggested that I drill a hole through the pawl and selector and then peen a pin in place, would that work? It's also not ratcheting but that may be a matter of a new spring (hopefully).
