Wizard Ratchet Repair Help Needed

I bought this old Wizard ratchet at a garage sale for a $1. It was rusty and I thought it would be an easy fix. I was wrong, the insides were rustiest and dirtiest I had ever seen, it was just packed with dirt. The outside cleaned up nicely though. Anyway when I took the cover plate off, the selector snapped off of the pawl, and I was wondering how to fix it. My friend suggested that I drill a hole through the pawl and selector and then peen a pin in place, would that work? It's also not ratcheting but that may be a matter of a new spring (hopefully).
Any other suggestions?

Yeah, I've peened new pins on such parts and got them working. If you're not in a hurry to get it operational (i.e. it's just for a collection) you might just keep an eye out for a donor ratchet with the necessary pieces.
That Wizard looks fairly close to the old Indestro pearheads - maybe parts from one of those might cross-over and work?

I too suspect Indestro.

Occasionally yard sale ratchets don't work out. Many are just seized up and can be easily returned to serviceable condition. Sometimes they're just simply broken. I've got more than a couple in my parts box.

Be sure to test the friction ball/spring in the stud too. Sometimes when they're this crusty inside, the stud spring is toast too.

It's a Duro, I forgot to post a picture of the cover plate, it has the D code. There isn't a model number on it though.
It may just be one to use for parts unfortunately, because it's one of my best looking ratchets from the outside anyway.
