Idk if you have a Menards local, but I have been thoroughly impressed with Montana brand drill bits I bought there. They are cheaper individually than Dewalt or Milwaukee from Lowe's/HD, and made in USA.

I've had good luck with Dewalt and Milwaukee brand bits. $20-$40 for a set depending on which ones you get. If you don't abuse them, a set of bits will last you awhile. Most guys I see that go through a lot of bits spin them too fast and burn them up.

I'd go for Chicago-Latrobe, Triumph, Precision Twist Drill, Cleveland, to name a couple.

Biggest two things IMO are: use a stationary tool (a drill press or mill) whenever possible, and don't run them at 80 bazillion rpms. 500 rpms is plenty for a 1/8" drill bit, go down from there as size increases. The edges will last a lot longer.

Norseman is USA made. The offer almost anything you could want. Hurt cases included with most. Call Patrick at iscsupplies.com for the best pricing on Norseman. Tell him your Colorado buddy sent you. ;)
