Are there any sets of decent drill bits that don't break the bank?

Idk if you have a Menards local, but I have been thoroughly impressed with Montana brand drill bits I bought there. They are cheaper individually than Dewalt or Milwaukee from Lowe's/HD, and made in USA.

I've had good luck with Dewalt and Milwaukee brand bits. $20-$40 for a set depending on which ones you get. If you don't abuse them, a set of bits will last you awhile. Most guys I see that go through a lot of bits spin them too fast and burn them up.

I'd go for Chicago-Latrobe, Triumph, Precision Twist Drill, Cleveland, to name a couple.

Biggest two things IMO are: use a stationary tool (a drill press or mill) whenever possible, and don't run them at 80 bazillion rpms. 500 rpms is plenty for a 1/8" drill bit, go down from there as size increases. The edges will last a lot longer.
