Nice one, you can't buy a fan or air conditioner here at the moment, it even made the local news papers:thumbup:

After a week of temperatures @ 41C + (106F) :p I was lucky to pick up this retro fan for the shop It has 3 speed settings and depending on which way I face it can be an extractor or refresher :) I fitted a mount into the window frame which allows me to easily swivel and remove.

What a great idea.

I get all my fans during the winter from places like the Salvo shop. Pay no more than about $5-00 a fan. I have five in the works that owe me nothing. 4 are on stands and one conventional. Fan heaters I also get the same way.

Oh you notice that :) I was thinking that the weakest point of my shop for invaders was the window, So I came up with another trick bit (shop secret) and the internal window shutter :) It's a 15mm nylon composite panel

A bit like me hiding my Showroom door behind a sliding door as I did not like the idea of a glass sliding door for security. (See Shedwellers The Extension).

I never understood why people wait to buy things when they'll be at the most expensive ??? Luckily this one was donated :)

Free ! The fan was free ? Well done.

Love it all mate, garage, the deck, the Indian wall art!

Awesome work on the workshop and deck. Jealous of your holiday too!

Thanks boys, I have done a couple of things over the last week to the shop and once I finish them off i'll post up some pics :) Planning on some more wall art soon but have to wait for summer now to finish the last details on the deck

Very nice purchase, I'm hoping to get one once my shed is setup, do you mind if I ask the details on yours? Do you think you could fit a 15" wheel in there without a tyre?

Thanks all, this stuff makes my shop more homely  Anth you probably could fit a wheel in it but you wouldn't be able to work on it :headscrat , it's more suitable for my rc stuff or smaller motorcycle parts :D

How is the new welder helmet? I purchased Weld Class Promax 300 last week, the CIG unit was my other option..

Cheers mate, I'm about to head out to the shop and finish a few details on the trolley after painting it last night  then i'll start on the stand for the blasting cabinet :D

I'm exceptionally happy with the helmet, it has definitely improved my start welds since I can see and the auto darkening timing is spot on :)

Finished the welding trolley (apart from the grinder box ;) ) then set straight to work welding up the trolley stand for the blasting cabinet  ;) All done and painted in mid grey as homage to the dexion I used to make it :) waiting for it to dry before starting the final setup of the cabinet .

Tonight I fitted the regulator then plumbed up a tested ;) I then riveted a work light to the top and sealed with high temp silicone, it's exactly the light I was looking for :) I still need to pick up some more flexible + longer media tube then it's ready for it's first run :)

Finished up the little welding cart today by adding the grinder box :) After giving the box a run through the blasting cabinet using glass media which only removes paint and surface rust, I was very happy with the patina look so just cleared over to finish :) Bolted it on to the cart and added a mount bolt at 1 end for the wire wheel and bent up a hook for the other end to hold various disks

Nice work, I wish I had metal fabrication experience it is an art!

I paid a good friend to fabricate most of my car for me so I appreciate the skills you have!

Tonight I made up the frame for the half barrel bar which is the last major deck piece :D I used 20mm film ply which I bolted together then cut into a circle, marked out what resembled a sun dial and nailed in the timber  I will add the deck timbers to it once its in place, although it will be removable to access the pipe its covering. I'm thinking a nice solid timber top with a rounded edge to finish :D
