Well, I went out and bought one today at my local Aldi.
Its not too bad. The electrical components are pretty stout, 15A rating, thick power cord, substantial illuminated rocker switches for each outlet.
I mostly wanted it for the switched outlets. The tool holder is a bit cheesy like you would expect, and a normal sized tool will obstruct the plugs somewhat. Shorter tools won't.
The LEDs are bright. They're really not all that useful since they're facing towards your eyes and its easy to be dazzled by them, but they are a nice little feature, and I think I'll use them a fair amount.
The one thing I don't care for is it attaches with blind screws like a normal cheep outlet strip. I was really hoping for how big it was, that it would have mounting slots on the outside, instead it just has 4 little #6 screws that go into little slots in the back. I'll probably modify it, and mount it securely to a piece of plywood and then mount the plywood to the wall.
Overall, for $25, not bad. I would have loved this thing when I first moved into a house with garage from an apartment when I was 22. I can see this thing being pretty useful for a normal homeowner with a 20x20 garage with 1 duplex outlet and 1 screw lightbulb in the whole garage.
I stopped by Home Depot also and saw that they had a very similar product, basically the same as the Cosco one, also for $25.
