I got one of the battery powered adjustable wrenchs for Christmas. I forgot who made it....it's in a drawer somewhere. I think it was a black and decker.

I don't know the answer to that question, but I know the worst tool I ever owned was a 12" sliding compound miter from HF. Son of a ***** was awful! It wobbled and squeaked its way to a cut of +/- 13 degrees and I was sure the damned thing was going to fly apart sending the blade through my face like something out of Final Destination. I find it hard to believe someone produced a saw that bad without trying.

I could actually see those pliers being useful in a tractor toolbox, or motorcycle kit. Something with limited storage where combining tools would make sense. And my vote goes for those Gator grip sockets, the only tool more effective at rounding off bolts is a pair of vice grips.

I would say the dogbone, clench wrench, or anything hawked hard by sears around Christmas:lol:

Wait, I think those Hansen socket racks that make people buy sockets that they will never use (like 20mm) just to fill a peg, are worse.:D

I KNOW!! That damn 20 mm space is just sitting there laughing at me. We both know I'm going to fill it, too. :willy_nil

Socket puck.

^^This^^ could be it! What a stupid invention. A dogbone could conceivably be useful in an emergency kit or something, but the socket puck is as worthless a device as ever I've seen. It has no depth to it whatsoever and helicopters land in smaller areas than it requires for clearance. My wife (who still can't remember which one the Phillips is) is too advanced for such a thing.

My vote is the Craftsman RoboGrip pliers. They really sucked and we laugh about them at work every once in a while when we're talking tools. The Snap-on air gasket scraper wasn't a good investment back when I bought it in the 80's. It sets in the tool box in its original box and laughs at me when I open the drawer.

Dogbone wrench, gator socket, and the stubby hammer. I think that was made for guys who have never had a male father figure in their life.

Craftsman "quick wrenches" with the cut out on the open end that is supposed to allow you to turn fasteners faster, but render the open end useless for doing anything else.

there are plenty of crappy tools out there but this one doesn't even come close. i have pair and they are diamond brand handyboy pliers. made by the diamond tool co before they went out of the bis. that is a genuine pair of diamond pliers mated to a genuine diamond adjustable. the screwdriver is more like a pry bar. they are well made and as good as any other diamond product. unless this one has been abused the chrome on them is fabulous.

i once road up the chairlift at copper mountain with a maintenance guy who had one in his tool bag. he was shocked i knew what it was but said he never went to work without it. epstein hardware sells a good imitation but it's not the real thing. they came in two sizes and i believe the one in the link is the larger.

My vote it's gotta be the Black & Decker power adjustable wrench. Kids got me one for Christmas one year, used it,or should I say tried to use it once. #2 would be the Robo Grip pliers.:wtf:

Yes, if we could get our hands on the original diamond handyboy pliers, we could sell them all day long. Very rare and very collectible now. Never used one myself but I know farmers love them.

 Wally World has a whole end cap full of those Ultrasteel stubby hammers for $4.49 each.

Do people actually buy those? :spit:

^^^ As several have said it is one of the worst. They prey on women and kids and gear their pre-Christmas advertising accordingly.

LOL.
I agree.
C'man RoboGrips.
Major suckage.

I have two pair in my box from the 80's I can't seem to part with but they keep the rest of the tools at bay with the knowledge that they **** so bad the other tools just fall in line and behave as a result.

Worst. Pliers. Ever.

Ever.
Foreverever. er.

I would have to add the Bostitch ratcheting adjustable wrench to the mix:

Really beefy wrench, but the ratcheting mechanism is not very useful, making the whole thing junk.
