Wotzit Kraeuter Tool???

Hi folks!
This is my first post.
I would appreciate any info you can give me on this tool.
The first picture is from this site, taken by p-nor. He speculated that it might be an offset chisel holder. Well I tried to mount a chisel in it today with zero success, so I'm back to the drawing board.
I can't seem to,post more than a single picture per post (from my iPad) so I'll add a couple more in subsequent postings on this thread.
The remaining pictures are mine.
The markings are VL-43 A1 Diamond K logo.
The one end appears to have been meant to be struck with a hammer, like a chisel. The other end is adjustable/removable by using the thumbscrew.

Blue Hill thank you for the close-up shot I am still in the dark I went back looking for VL-43 A1 with not much luck so I am still in the Dark.

While going through twertsy's web-site I came across something interesting in seeing a #643 water pump pliers design that look like and old craftsman design from the 50's.

Well the hunt goes on as they say!
