Where are you storing the organized wrenches? I have my flare nut wrenches in the wrench drawer in a pair of standard wrench rails. As I don't use my stubbys all that often, they are in homemade wrench rolls in the bottom drawer

mine are in ernst racks

I need to organize my wrench drawers, and Ernst looks pretty good.

They have big racks for combos and little racks for flare nut, DBE's...

Hell, if you have any gigantor sets (like big hydraulic wrench sets) you could set up the first 20 in the 20pc Ernst rack and count up how many did not fit. You could then buy the rack that fit exactly that many, and buy that rack. Set one in front of the other...

I use the Ernst with the grabby thingys, obviously I don't know what they're called. But they work great.

No close ups, but you should get the picture...haha

I did this just the other day. The large size snap on rails work awesome. Just use a single one. I will see if I can post a pic.

Disagree... And I do not have a question because I already know it isn't.

I notice you have a very biased opinion.

He's looking for organizers to hold stubby and flare wrenches. The Snappy are good because they're one size fits all, you can cut to size and they are separate rails vs one solid rack.

crocodile tooth rails (same as kra-15a)
Many brands do these, size it out and cut them to your needs, they make the most of space, easy use and cheap, cost me about 8bucks a pair and use them on stubby's flexi's, flare, ratchet wrenches etc etc (all my wrenches use them)

I use a piece of #12 copper wire coiled around a piece of 3/4 pipe (then removed). It is really cheap and adjustable to fit virtually anything. If you want something a little wider you can wrap the same wire around a 1x2, 1x3, or 1x4.

Ernst grip racks. They hold up good. Can get them in different sizes. They make some for stubby wrenches too. I have all Ernst stuff in my box and I'm satisfied with all of it. Plus it's all U.S. made and has a lifetime warranty. It's usually cheaper and easier just to order direct from Ernst. They usually send you a catalog and sticker with your purchase too.

It sounds like you are biased, not me. The snap on rails are good, but so are others... depends on what you are looking for.

Go to Google images and punch in "protoco wrench rack"
Huh. Those look a lot like the Ernst racks. I wonder if Ernst is the OEM—they make racks for a lot of companies, e.g. SK.

Ernst is not the OEM. Protoco racks are different in that they don't lock your wrenches in. Your wrenches just sit on top freely.

The good thing about Ernst is the mobility. If you can't work on something right beside your box you can grab the set of wrenches you want and go. Then they're still together and organized.

My preference is also Ernst.Made in good old U.S.A,they have many different options.I like the fact you can take the set to what you are working on.The company is a pleasure to do business with.In my area,Northern Tool carries them in the store, for those who like to inspect the product up close.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have the 10pc metric and the 7pc sae stubby flex ratcheting wrenches and nothing I've tried so far works. Then I found this post on another thread and that's what I'm ordering.

Not a great picture, but the Ernst ones work perfect if you grab a razor blade and cut off the back part of plastic that acts like a spring. It will give enough room to fit flex head in there nice and snug

The prob

Time to order another couple of these. And yes, trimming the one tension piece made it fit perfect.

I like the Ernst racks with the grip/lock things, they dont like thick beam wrenches though. The stubby racks work nicely. Protoco's are also nice.

I also have used the KRA15 rack/rails from Snap-on for my metric wrench set (7 to 32), I'm not using with my current box as it's too tall for the drawer.
