Cheap Wurth anything?
You aren't getting that in Mexico.
Good deal if you can get it though.

My pics, slightly out of order. I tossed in pics of my go-box to show that how they bundle them allows good use of even small handboxes. I'm done dragging two toolbags loaded to the gills anymore.

The DOE are the regular workhorses, the flex ratchet are the best for those difficult ones and the rare impossible to get at those flex line wrenches shine.

Much like a cup of coffee being too hot or not sweet enough. Its a matter of personal preference and experience to know what works for you and what fails.

Another valid question is compared to what other brands and models of wrenches. We'd be all over the scale and mostly equal in the end by the time we had 10 brands measured..

I like mine just as they are. Not too long, not too short and just right in the feel,

Is there some place online that sells an extensive amount of the Wurth chemicals? Pegasus Auto Racing had a decent selection a few years ago but not anymore...

Wurth makes very little, but, they only sell the best. Many of the German tool makers have one great advantage over American tool makers in that they are privately owned and frankly don't give a **** about making anybody happy except themselves. Knipex is a great example and Wurth likewise. They do what they do, to the best of their ability, and that's that. Like it or lump it. Do they have an attitude, yes, do they market top of the line stuff, normally always.

Buying the following on ebay for $125. (As I'm new, I am not allowed to post a link or pic, otherwise, I would)

8 WURTH VINTAGE DEEP OFFSET BOX WRENCH SET METRIC 12 PT GERMANY CHROME VANADIUM

"WURTH german made deep offset box wrench set. these are very high quality wrenches in excellent condition. sizes 6&7mm 8&9 mm 10&11 mm 12&13 mm 14&15mm 16&17mm 18&19mm 20&22mm. comparable to snap-on quality."

I could get a set of 6-Hazet offsets for a little more. Thoughts?

Unless you are into it for collecting I would get the German Stahlwille set instead for $72 shipped (many on this board have ordered this set from Amazon Germany.....mine is slated to be delivered next week): https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B000HB00CA/

EDIT: sometimes a direct link to amazon de doesn't work because it changes to amazon usa.....instead go to amazon.de THEN search for B000HB00CA (copy/paste).

I usually just tell brother what I need, and he gets it. They have many products to choose from. Have not been on it in a while, but the website is terrible. If you can get a printed version of catalog its unreal.

Their selection on the US website is pretty limited, is it the case that if you contact them that you can purchase items from their European catalog?

Wurth Canada web site has a holiday gift guide.www.wurth.ca On page 9 there is a screwdriver bit set with extensions for 99.99. When I had my own shop,I bought a set minus the extensions, but came with a ratcheting screwdriver for around $120.00. I still use the bit set every day,I've never broken one. The screwdriver made it to the"farm",as I have both the stubby & regular snap-on ratchet drivers in my work box. I used it last week...not as well cared for...but still works fine. The Wurth rep comes to our dealership(Dodge/Chrysler),each month. A few moths ago she had pliers that were Knipex

If I recall, there is someone selling a set of Stahlwille in the classified section here.

EDIT: Sorry - wrong manufacturer.

I have a set of the Zebra combo wrenches and they are not stamped Germany, they say quality instead got the 6-22 set I believe for 110$ or so from Wurth USA. website. They come in a cheap Styrofoam cut out, it does not say where they are made anywhere, I forget the countries that are allowed to do that but Taiwan does quite frequently. I am curious if anyone can confirm it. They are nice wrenches that being said I would not be surprised if they were Asian made for the price I paid. Cheerz

Just bought a 3/8 drive ratchet off our Wurth rep, was 26.99 not including vat, 45 tooth quick release. Does anyone own one? And are they any good? Mines on order atm

Cheaper than Facom??? I get a Facom tool every day all year long before a wurth:) Here is wurth much cheaper than Facom, and if you ask me facom is way nicer tools!

Hello every body! I am pretty sure wurth’s wrench ratchets are made by facom…!

I like Wurth tools quite a bit. Lots of it, or possibly all, is rebranded - but they don't rebrand junk. They've got Knipex and Felo pliers rebranded as Wurth, for example.

I was 90% sure the screwdrivers were made by Felo - but I recall being corrected on this board by someone who insisted there were differences. My Wurth screwdrivers feel and look at lot like my Felo screwdrivers though, for what that's wurth (😄). So even if someone else is making them, I put them in the same category for quality.

The bit driver is my all-time favorite Wurth tool.

That sucker is TINY, has a cushion grip, takes all the force I can apply by hand and adds no height to the bit (you can see the photo the top is dished - the pit protrudes out the height of the dish and you remove it by pushing it out with your thumb).

This ball head ratchet has to be from Laser right? Looks the same to me except Wurth has a cushion grip.

I have only limited experience with the sockets - just the spline drive ones that came with other tools (like my bit driver). Chrome is shiny and they work well. Can't say more than that without seeing the larger sizes in person. I DO wish I knew who was making them though.

The US head office has no interest in selling tools.....I wanted to order a few items and called and heard through the grapevine that the owner does not like the margins on tools and hence, few make it to the US.

The bit driver is almost certainly from the same (Taiwanese) maker whose products are rebranded by Facom, Wera, Tone, and a host of others. I believe it’s a “Reverse Gear” design from Hi Five. Good tools.

Not sure about the roto head. It won’t be made by Laser, I don’t think they make anything, they just re brand, and their stuff is generally the very cheapest.

At least some of the Wurth “Zebra” ratchets are (or were) made by USAG. The mechanism is very distinctive and, in the U.K. at least, they are marked “Made in Italy”. Having said that I’ve lately seen a different design which I suspect is Taiwanese.

Who is making these I wonder? That is certainly an unique design. Intended as ratcheting open-ends, which I've never had good luck with, but this isn't a version I've seen before.

Here they have a couple of shops for retail which have crazy exorbitant prices; their salesmen go around mechanic shops and sell at least 60% off. My mechanic has bought a few tools off them but I'm not impressed.

I'm also not impressed with their brake cleaner spray. But this thing I have used for years and does miracles to preserve car rubber parts
Silicone free.

Haha, seems to be everywhere the same. Their brake cleaner is a joke. We still have a different brand and their sales rep tries really hard for years now.

I own an facom style ratchet and a couple of bits from them. Also a some chaulking guns, they are top notch, the bits are quite random, the olders are nice, the latest are ****.
