Man just read your thread and just wanted to add a good job. I love the old wood barns but wood and do not ply well together. I am a metal man and if I can't cut to short, weld it back together, and beat into submission it is beyond me talents! Now the R/T that I can do! What engine are you running?

The charger has a gettin tired 440, but still a 440,

Have had car since 2000 I was a smart man and took car on first date with da wife, stop at store and parked car way down at bottom of the lot cause didn't want door dings, come out of store and wife says man your car sticks out like sore thumb, I didn't say nothin but when we got down to car I opened door for her and such being nice and all. She says thanks when I get in, I replay back I didn't due it for u the charger heard your comment and she " the charger"
Doesn't wanted to be molested by you any more!

15 years later me, wife, charger and now 3 kids still together
forgot the dog as well!

Got some scrapped out funky pallet things off of CL that had 1x10 boards that are 6' long gonna use them and break the up with 1x4 boards in between to help break up the spacing of it. Or that's the plan

Sub: looks like you have a good TO DO list in your head that got on your post. we all would like to have unlimited funds and space and it doesn't work that way for most of us. do what you can when you can and keep that family happy while you are doing it.

also now that you are eating less you can save a couple bucks a day for the garage and car.

i'll also mention it on our losing weight thread and just wanted to congratulate you on losing a few pounds this last week even though your first post was cheeseburgers and fries.

broke this trailer load down into boards and its all stacked in the back corner of the garage awaiting me to find the time to put up as the inside wall covering's

Very nice. Are you going all the way up to the ceiling with it? Or just use it for a "wainscoating/chair rail" height? Are you going to paint or stain it? My plan is to use drywall for the upper 2/3's and maybe used roof tin for a ceiling. This is kind of like Mr 360's build. I don't think I saw if you were going to insulate or not. I would think you'd almost have to. Again, very nice.

the plan is to go up to the ceiling with the boards I think I have enough boards to due that.

my rough plan is 3 rows of the big 1x10 boards then a row of 1x6 maybe painted Bright Green like my car color. put on some clear poly and call it a day. rinse repeat till I get to the ceiling.

Ceiling plan is to put up Batts then under batts put 1" 4x8 white Styrofoam and then run 1x4's spaced out 24" to help hold the Styrofoam up in place that way I have a White ceiling area to help reflect the light back down but have a striped look to the ceiling via the 1x4 boards

thats the plan.

my plans or ideas change about every 6 months on things,

This is my stack of planks behind the t1-11 scraps or what I calling planks. The bottom stack is 1x9 by 10'


got the back wall half way done as you can kinda see behind the stack of planks

Sub: i'm guessing corn might be on the diet this week? I like mine with a butter and salt just like my popcorn. if its sweet enough though i bet i can just eat it out of the pot plain.

Thanks for the tip,

I have a fire extinguisher in the garage right next to the entry door, have 2 nd 100' away in the old photo studio also by entry door.

Also am a 14 year member of local fire department, but since my place is 7 miles from station it's gonna be a burnt shell by the time they get here and get set up to put water on it more then likely.

All depends on how big fire is when they get called.

My saving grace is house and studio are both far enough away that they should survive if the garage goes up, and vice versa knock on would I never need to call in my brothers for a fire party at my place.

Old house in town had wood boiler in garage for hot water heat and somebody called in my garage on fire due to excessive smoke out the stove pipe,

I still get ribbed for that 7 years later after the first chimney fire we have each fall.

Yep had corn on the cob for lunch with beef and gravey over noodles, had full plate but not heaping plate,

But ate full burrito at Mexican place me and wife went to last night, my weight loss this week won't be as much as last week that is for sure.

Gotta work some off today that is for sure.

That would be embarrassing having a fire when your a firefighter. I also have fire extinguishers handy at key locations.

This week we (Haven FD) are working the PGA so if something happens there watch for me. I will be the pump operator. Every camera will have eyes on us. Be Safe!

You can put that time to good use planning out the fine details of your lean to wood shed build.

though I started back in June I gave up my daily bottle of mt dew and 2-3 times a week it was 2 bottles per day.

I don't miss it much but there are days when I sure due,
but they are getting farther apart.

My goal is 2-5 pounds per week though they get harder to get rid of as your getting thinner.
From what I understand.

What a wonderful old wood shop... looks a lot like the one my granddad had when I was growing up, sans the pit. He built hot rods and I loved to go down under the cars and look at the them from the dirty side while he and my uncles worked on them. His had the old sliding double doors with the then new age asbestos siding in salmon pink...

My little sister bought a 68 charger back in the day and I had to "rebuild" the motor and ****** so it would run respectably... a lovingly massaged 440 is just what she needed, a fine machine.

More to the first date story, the radio wasn't working at the time of first date and I wanted some tunes so had little boom box radio sitting in center console and had my KISS tape set to play Beth as first song also heavens on fire on that tape as well don't know the other songs but listened to that tape for the night.
First date we went tire shopping as the charger was on bias ply tires and I was taking car to Bristol tennesse for year one car show swap meet and was told would be able to run hot laps on the race track.
Priced out tires for car then town we was in had a nighttime homecoming parade for there high school watched that pretty cool.

Rest is history from there.
The next month me and the charger and a buddy was road tripping in Tennessee, jack Daniels factory, Nashville,and Bristol
I'll have to find my pics of that adventure and post them up!

I wasn't a big whiskey drinker in my youth at all but I due like the pic of the charger and the whiskey barrel's.

Log Puller is under revision, If I remember to go to hardware store when I'm in town today I'll post up pics of the revised tow point.

It worked pretty good as in the fact that the dolly wheels performed how I want. it was the High Hook and the Winch line pull in that needs revision which I kinda thought I would need to due anyway.
I am at work today gearing up for a new school year to start.

and Played 3 games of ball this morning full court up to 15 by one,
My legs are pretty sore now.

Sub: because you weren't a big whiskey drinker is probably why you still have a cool car from your youth. i had a 70 Mach 1 with a 428 cobra jet i ran into the ground in the mid 70's. honestly it wasn't that comfortable for me, but it was the fastest car on the freeways and side streets in my part of the world.

my wife bought my daughter some choclolate chip cookie dough ice cream for my daughter and i fell off the wagon so hopefully you didn't make too many stops at the A & W.

Sub.....I just now read through the complete thread. Good Lord man, you took nothing and whipped it up into something for sure. Most people would have just tore down a building like that, but you brought it back to life and then some. Are you eventually going to concrete the floor or just leave it gravel?

plan is to next spring put in a Outdoor wood boiler to heat the house and also put a radiant heat floor in the garage. though that may be a few years out before the garage gets radiant floor it will get a wall mount Suspended heater once the wood boiler goes in though,

I have roughly $4,000.00 in my garage build spread out over 4 years as well.

1st year Used rafter's and purlins from Craigslist, $700.00
1st year New Tin for the roof $1,200.00


Year 2 Used Garage door 8x18 and 8x10 at $1,000.00

Year 3 Probably $700.00 in the t1-11 siding,

Year 4 I need to get soffit put up and insulate the ceiling of the garage

Most everything else has been free,

with a lot of my own sweat and blood in this thing as well.

Sub: hope the leg is feeling better this morning. sorry i don't think i have one picture of the 70 Mach 1 and if i did it wouldn't be on a computer. in those days (mid 70's) i can't remember owning a camera unless it was a polaroid with that crazy expensive film. probably a good thing we didn't have cameras back then and the internet.

i feel a bit sorry for todays younger generation that has everything documented and for the world to see to remind them of some of the stupid stuff we all did.

I think my Mustang got around 8-10 freeway and about 5 mpg around town, but gas was pretty cheap back then. people were complaining when it went up to $1 per gallon.
