Gotta be 1puglife. I started recently from the beginning and I'm almost caught up. Pug is the man.
Also really enjoy AvE, South main auto, welding tips and tricks, hydraulic press channel, beyond the press, add ohms, carphonix car audio and abom. For other stuff, I really enjoy covers, so definitely check out davie504, Jared dines and meytal Cohen.

Bosnian Bill's Lock Lab:

Even if you aren't into lock picking there's something sort of just compelling about seeing how easily most locks are defeated and what's inside them to try to keep people out.

I had a Masterlock on my storage unit...until I started watching his videos one night. Saw him beat the lock by tapping on the side with a hammer. Changed it the next day. I know nothing is perfect but I had no idea they were that bad.

Any of you using patreon to support your favorites? I finally supported SMA. I like his videos more than anything on regular tv.

pug is good stuff. only thing i find boring is when he makes a video racing those chair/gocart things. thats lame. it was cool the first 55 times but it gets old fast. i dont mind him building or fixing them but riding videos **** lol

i kind miss the videos with nelson. anything with him in it was great. when they got him drunk was funny as **** lol

and they need to bring back DVD. all those other guys are lame.

A buddy of mine recently got me hooked on a youtube channel called bullshitkorner . This guy cracks me up. Warning though, in some of his videos he swears quite a bit, he works on a little bit of everything. He has a Jeep he works on, a four wheeler, a basket case 57 Chevy. He tells it like it is too.

hand tool rescue, somewhat of a diresta style video of no talking or music just restoring/fixing hand tools.

Don't know if anyone mentioned Chris Fix:
Great how-to auto repair videos

Chris Fix is good since he does he auto repair like many of us - on his driveway with the vehicle on stands.

Trucking videos have become popular. One I've followed for some time is Allie Knight. Well edited, good music. Not your usual trucker.

I just started watching this series called Barn Find Hunters

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHKCmmH-x9mLN0PNeFBtxyZ7olwptkO5q

Each episode is only like 15 minutes long and they go talk about different cars they find all over the country in peoples barns and yards. I like it because it's just find the car, talk about the car and it's history. No fake drama about haggling a price and no bs watching the restoration team meet fake deadlines and ****.

This is a big thread but skimming through I haven't seen Colin Furze mentioned. Top bloke making crazy **** in his shed (very well stocked shed mind).

It looks like we all have pretty similar taste in video. I was on the phone with Comcast last night trying to cut the bill down. Told them take out the TV service, everything I watch is on youtube these days.

I'm surprised so many people admit to watching 1puglife. Embarrassingly I too find some of his stuff entertaining. AvE is of course awesome! Real tool reviews, South Main Auto when he's not doing multi-hour long case studies, Was a huge fan of Eric the Car Guy in the beginning, but he's gotten a little lame lately.

I've recently found a couple of new to me channels that I've been following. After quick glance through this thread they don't seem to have been mentioned yet.

Jonathan W

The guy is making his own vintage flat track motorcycle engine from scratch as in casting the case and cobbling together various parts that I couldn't even imagine trying to make work together. His set up seems somewhat primitive. Not a bunch of fancy high end shiny new shop equipment, but he can cut and dial indicate crank shafts and all sorts of other neat things. He also has various videos of rescuing classic old cars out of the weeds and getting them running again.

Mustie1

This guy seems to be good at just about everything. from body work to small engine repair, complete auto restorations. Well worth checking out.

I like to watch: Halligan142, Abom79, Keith Rucker and Keith Fenner. However I'm getting a bit tired of Abomb79 and Keith Fenner. There earlier stuff is great but now they seem to spend most of their time trying to sell you stuff. I realize everyone needs more money, but it's really getting in the way of the educational value of watching them, especially Fenner. I find it unfortunate because both of them are very, very talented and have a lot of knowledge. I wish they would leave the commercial part of their videos on their websites. I see it like this:

1. Viewers send them hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of tools and freebies.
2. The videos are of work they're already getting paid to do by customers.
3. The early videos certainly appear to have just been for educational purposes. It doesn't seem to be a slow change, but very quick and around the same time.

Oh well, I'll get off the old soap box now.
