Pat, I waffled on the manual (Tremec) but ultimately decided to go with the 6L80 slush-box. I don't plan on racing it and I really wanted her to be able to drive it, without me having to put multiple clutches in it
, as it is "our" car, not just my car. Plus, I've driven manuals my entire life off and on and they get old in short order unless driving very spirited. This is a touring car, not a race car.
I do drool over your Z28 every time you post pics of it though.
Bob, glad to see you still posting on my thread. I thought I pissed you off with my previous comment giving you ****.
My wife surprised me as well when I told her there was a ZL-1 about 50 miles south of me but I was afraid to go look at it. She asked why I was afraid and I told her because I would probably want to buy it but it's more $$$ than I want to spend on a toy right now. She said "if it's what you want get it." I was shocked but still couldn't bring myself to do it. I am more than pleased with what I was able to find and with the purchase. She wants a Cadillac eventually and we have determined that will be her retirement gift.
