I have had nothing but good luck with them....
Last cyber Monday bought a Millermatic 252 and some other items.
Also bought some other stuff back in August on another 30% off sale which included a Miller Digital Elite helmet. When the items arrived (2 days later) the welding helmet was damaged as it was just wrapped to the other 2 boxes and not in a box of its own. Called Zoro and they sent me a new one that day and told me to keep the damaged one.
They have done all right by me.
I feel the majority of the bitching done on here about them is about the their cumbersome website.

00000hhhh, that is the echo I've been eying myself for some time! $300 is great for that as it is normally $400. I would wait a month for a deal like that! - Paul

That's about the only reason I haven't cancelled it yet... I don't have high hopes for a 40% off sale on cyber Monday, but if they do, im cancelling the saw and re-ordering again for a deeper discount.. lol

I'm not expecting 40% this year. 30% or 35% would be really nice. Some heads up would be nice, if someone from Zoro would clue us in. I'd hate to bite tomorrow if they do black friday, and have a better promotion come about on "cyber monday."

I've always been reasonably happy with Zoro, especially after I got used to how hard it is to navigate their site. I just search Grainger, find what I want, then search the manufacturer's part number on Zoro to see if they carry it. Another thing to do after finding what you need on Grainger.com, is to click the check availability button, and enter your zip code and item quantity. Doing this let me know that I could order 19 paint markers last week, instead of 20 to get them in one day instead of 1 week. I can't find a way to do this directly at zoro.com, but the workaround is reasonable.

I get almost everything in one day, and they've handled damaged items without any hassle whatsoever.

I order from them 3-4 times a month at work, and pricing has been fantastic lately when coupons are in effect. It seems they have taken to pricing things similar to Amazon(with a lot of exceptions), whereas they used to be a lot higher on everything. I missed the 40% off sale a few years ago. That was truly a killer deal, especially for those of you that bought all the Honda inverter generators.

Let's hope the deals get better because, a free 8 pack of double A batteries with a $100 purchase just doesn't seem like much of a Black Friday deal to me.:dunno:

Looking at my purchases from last year I had a big purchase from them on Cyber Monday, then another around the middle of December. I don't think they really did anything on BF.

Last year I think they did a leatherman or something for blackfriday purchases, and a 30% off on cyber monday. I was expecting a similar thing to happen this year!

I've purchased a bunch of stuff from Zoro. No complaints here. I know that there are way too many folks on this forum that will never be happy, no matter how good the deal. All you have to do is read the SK day thread to realize that.

I tell you what, this stuff bothers me. We set up days to support places in a certain spirit, and too ften a percentage of folks buy the products but don't buy into the spirit.

Zoro CS is awesome and shipping has always been fast and well done for me. Even if they dont have a great deal on cyber monday, which I imagine they will, I will still continue to order from them without hesistation. Yes the website is a pain but there are ways around it as mentioned previously.

It's got to be my generation that has this attitude (it shows up all over the forum), no way anyone in my parents generation would care at all, they have bigger worries in life :dunno:

I'm totally happy so far with my orders from Zoro. Their warehouse must be nearby because even with ground shipping I usually get my stuff in two days if I order early in the day. Always within 3 days. Awesome!

Usually the "days" are supporting small local businesses, often that make Made in USA products it seems. Not sure a company like Grainger needs us to get all lovey dovey for them.

I like Zoro. But remember when they are coming here offering codes/etc. just like anyone else they are advertising, not performing charity because they like us so much. I appreciate the deals I've gotten, no question about it, and the service has been great. But I'm not tearing up over it :)

It's too bad people have complained, but IMO when you post on a discussion forum you open yourself up to discussion. I think the biggest concern of not being able to find items easily/accurately is a major and significant problem for an online business where its sales are all (or almost all) via the website, and hopefully if more people complain they will realize it cannot help but improve their sales and satisfy a lot of folks.

So. I like Zoro. But I'm not surprised nor disappointed people have complained here seemingly legitimate gripes, it's what forums are for and what people do.

They ship out of the Grainger warehouses/DCs, and perhaps even sometimes your local Grainger store?

So they are really fast.

Yeah, good to know they can even get Echo though. I had no idea. By the way my friend, I once used to live in Livonia for quite a few years some time back.

Another good saw option I recently became aware of might be a used Makita/Dolmar when home depot is done with one on rental and wants to sell it. That would be even more power than the Timberwolf, but used well of course. I think Echo and Makita/Dolmar are the best deals in high powered big saws these days. - Paul

FYI.... Zoro Tools is a wholly owned subsidiary of Grainger.

Looking forward to a holiday coupon on Monday, I have enjoyed buying gifts from Zoro over the last few years. Tend to wait until a good deal is offered and then place an order. Customer service is top shelf and they have always processed and delivered my order faster than expected.

Yes, we are a discussion forum. This does not in itself justify everything that people decide to complain about.

You are right about Zoro not being some mom-and-pop that needs tender care. However, they are one of a very short list of larger companies that cared enough to establish a presence here. One of their people created an account here, and Elizabeth over there contacted me ahead of time to release details of Zoro deals before they went live with them on their official site/Facebook. That is a relationship worth tending to.

All one needs to do is read the tool section daily and the Free Parking section for the different rants to know that we have a lot of folks who get twisted up about stuff, some legit, some not so much.

Bull, have you tried contacting her? Maybe she didn't realize how much we appreciated the heads up.

I've got a feeling that Cyber Monday from Zoro is going to be some sort of flash sale that lasts 2 hours with a nice discount then a regular sale for the rest of day at a reduced discount. I'm going to be ******* at work for 12+ hours that day and no way to get online. I've only got a bunch of Gatorade mix and one Knipex pliers in my cart though anyway but I hope you guys get a bunch of good stuff. I've been a real miser lately, I only spent $40 on black Friday. Zoro is the place I've bought the most tools from over the last two years, like Enco is for raw materials and Amazon is for pretty much everything else so I really appreciate the 20% off or more sales that come along.

They've never done a flash sale on cyber Monday, its always been a straight percentage off site-wide all day.

Picked up a plunge router that I've been putting off for months now. After tax I saved maybe $10, and I know Zoro will have better customer service than about anywhere.

I should really pick out some bolt and screw assortments for next time one of these deals rolls around.

You seem to like Proto (your Proto box is very nice). Just curious as to why you selected the SK crowfoot sets over Proto. Quality, price...?

I have a bunch of Proto and SK and have been pleased with both. I need to pick up a crowfoot set soon so was interested on how you landed on SK.

One of my coworkers has the Proto ASD crowfoot set, I've used them a couple times and I think they're hands down the best money can buy. But, they're also almost the most expensive money can buy, $386 for the metric set :eyecrazy: One day I'm going to buy them but it isn't today... I already have the standard SK crowfoot set and they've been good (you can reef hard on them and they won't spread) so figured I'd get them in metric too.
