What does Zoro use primarily for their shipping courier? In the past my orders always came by UPS. This time the tracking number I received is an 11 digit number starting with a 5. I can't find any tracking info for it.

My order said UPS, because it wouldn't let me deliver it to my PO Box, had to put in my physical address.

I've had my Proto toolboxes from them come via USF Reddaway. (I'm out west) USF has a few different regional companies depending on the part of the country.
Try this link - http://www.yrcregional.com

Thanks, gave that a try, nothing.

I don't think it'll be trackable. They ship from local DCs and stores and use local common carriers for a lot of stuff.

That's what it's looking like right now. I guess I'll just give them a call & ask what courier they used.

Did you try just putting the number into Google?

Yup, that's how I always track packages as it's quicker & easier. Only 1 hit on Google to some Italy website for a phone number match. Weird, that's the first time I ever only got 1 hit on Google. When I view my purchase on Zoro's website & click the tracking number, it takes me to the same Google search results I got. No shipping method specified other than Standard Ground.

EDIT: Well I gave them a call, they said it was shipped USF Reddaway. No update on the BOL# on their site yet but at least I know what to expect. Damn, the arbor press stand weighs more than 150 lbs? I doubt it but I actually like the sound of it being heavy. Looks like it was an awesome deal!

Central Transport here in St. Louis area. Bought a welder a few weeks ago and it came via freight to my house straight from Grainger. Had to call shipper to set up delivery time.

I really backed up the truck and loaded it up for this one. I had a 'tool want list' out in my shop and spent a couple of hours (I had Monday off) trying to find cheaper prices than the Zoro 30% plus free shipping. Couldn't do it by a good margin on all but a couple of things. Saving those two for a better sale down the road. Everything will be here tomorrow. Unreal-fast free shipping.

I also have a 211, it's a great MIG welder for my purposes. Paid just over $1K when I bought it, but also got free shipping and 2 big rolls (.030 and .035) of free Hobart wire along with it.

Got an email today that my MM211 was on back order until 12/16.
I ordered later in the day so maybe they ran out...:dunno:

Looking forward to seeing it and doing more business with Zoro!

When I placed my order for the 211, the web site said it would be 10 days before it shipped.

Well I'll be damned. Got a call from the USF Reddaway driver 20 mins ago. He was concerned he couldn't get his truck onto my street (it is tight but it's dark & raining) so I met him down the street. Totally didn't expect delivery today. That was fricking quick! I must say I've been pretty happy ordering from Zoro the little that I have. Going to have to order from them more often.

I wanted to give a thumbs up to Zoro. I placed my order Monday night but forgot to put in the promo code. I sent them an email then next day and they are refunding the difference. That's a pretty good deal considering the price was already the cheapest I could find.

what happened to the pic??????

Seeing that there are no pics in this thread (yet I guess) & it's just an arbor press stand (most people would just build their own) I figured it would be of no interest.

Ok, I'll put the pic back up here. Also adding a pic of it, pre-assembled it this morning but I'm going to add a rolling base to it.

I don't have a nice Drake or Famco, just a 3 ton import from MSC, so no way I was going to pay that much for an stand. Grizzly used to sell one. Palmgren sells their for $280. $272 at Grainger (Dayton), so $158 for the Dayton from Zoro was well worth it to me, with out the 30% off I never would have paid the regular price for it. I'm very happy with it!

I had my arbor press sitting on a cheap universal stand from HF. Did the job but I wasn't happy with it.

Couldn't be that big, the 211 only takes 10lb spools, right? I'm not slamming these machines but this is one reason they're not great for heavy use: cost per lb drops as the spools get bigger. I do love the 33# spools in my old Hobart 210. Of course it's not really "portable" by any stretch of the imagination.

The 211 holds 12 1/2 pound spool of L 56, .030.

Already got a lot of my Zoro order.

Ordered Monday. Received part of it Tuesday.
Bought an I/R 3/8 cordless ratchet to use while I'm sending my Milwaukee off again.

Also bought a 211 and spool gun. Spool gun made it, welder didn't. It said 10 days for delivery when I placed the order.

I have to admit I was impressed about the delivery time on the ratchet. It got me to looking threw the catalog they sent.

Did they list the spool gun separately or in combination with the welder? If separately how much did you pay? Thanks

Ign - I meant 10lb rolls. It came with one of those tiny spools of wire, the vendor through in 20lbs of wire for free and shipped it free. To me that is 'big'. When it is time to reorder wire I'll have to take a look at those Lincoln spools.

I received my Monday evening order from Zoro this evening. 30% off. No sales tax (usually 8% in AZ). Quick turnover time. Packaged well. UPS shipped to front door.

Thanks to Zoro for the sale. I've ordered 3X from Zoro. Quality operation each time.

Thanks to GJ for the discussions on Zoro and various products. Very helpful in making informed decisions about some of the products I have bought this time. I probably would not have pulled the trigger otherwise.

I got my workbench last night and my sliding drawer parts cabinet. I was missing my 72 hole bolt bin, it said it was on the same pallet. I was not there to unload it as it got there on another shift and was unloaded by someone else. I called zoro and told them it was missing, they said we signed for 7 pieces, I told them I took a bunch of pictures before I unwrapped it because I could tell it wasn't in there. They said they were sorry and they are going to send me another one out today. They will sort it out later. That is pretty good of them seeing how my end signed saying it was all there.

I don't know how to put 2 pictures in same post. It's upside down so it's easier to slide out of my truck.

my Werner aluminum ext ladder came in truck delivery yesterday, it's the 28' type I equalizer model D1828-2EQ. It's a lot heavier than I thought at 55 lbs. I mounted a standoff and was able to reach the last part of my 2nd story roof to clean the gutter, which I couldn't reach before. One of the slide pins for adjusting feet height is missing the spring loaded ball detent. Should I call Zoro? I appreciate the discount , w/o the coupon it would have been cheaper at homedepot for pickup. I'd rather get it delivered. Zoro is yet to fulfill the knipex alligator 16" pliers from the same order. No tracking yet.

The workbench is very heavy duty. I am happy with it. I don't think I could build one as cheap as I bought this one.

I ordered the same bench, mine still pending fulfillment.

I am thinking about slapping a coat of oil based paint on it.

I also bought a Miller 211. Bought the cart for it as well as I need the time to fix other things more than I need to practice building a cart. Bought several other things as well and saved a whole bunch of money!

Some of you other guys that bought a 211 should post when you receive your units. I remember last year I emailed them asking why they carried many Miller products but not the popular 211. Never received an email back but my wish was granted!

The sales tax bit is a bit of a bummer. I wonder why they charge tax for so many states when most other websites do not?

i think if they have distribution center / physical presence in the state they are required to collect sales tax - being Grainger they are probably in most states ...
