The possible rebate issue is going to drive me insane until my buddy either gets a check (hopefully) or a denial letter.

Well, I just received this email:

We have received your submission and everything looks good.
We are currently running 3 - 5 weeks for processing rebate checks (which will mail USPS) and 2 weeks for the Spoolgun (shipping via UPS direct from Miller). Please allow sufficient time for your rebate check and free Spoolgun to arrive.
Thank you!
Melissa Keough

So, yeah, that's a sigh of relief. As for my rebate submission details, I printed this form:

http://www.millerwelds.com/pdf/Spoolmate_RebateFlye.pdf

and filled it out. For the items, I used the item description from Zoro, the Miller part numbers for item number, and the price paid AFTER the 30% discount. I then scanned it into a .pdf, and emailed it and both the order email (which shows the price reduction per item) and the final receipt (which only shows a mass dicount) from Zoro in .pdf form to:

[email protected]

Also, on the both the Zoro .pfs, I added numbers next to the items to match the item number on the Miller rebate form.

I hope it works out for the rest of you as well.

Sounds good, I will work on getting the one for my buddy going ASAP. Do you need to have the serial number of the machine? Or can you process it before getting the actual supplies?

The rebate form specifically asks for the serial number, so he'll have to wait until he gets the machine.

Did your total (after rebate) exceed $400? Or did you list your prices paid, and the total was less than $400 when the discount was considered?

The Sales Order (receipt) I printed from the Zoro site lists their part number, and their listed price, and shows an overall discount on the bottom of the receipt, but it does not show an item price with discount. Didnt look for a different one, didnt realize they itemized the discount on another receipt...

I received the same email. I went with the $200 cash rebate. I just circled the $1267.03 price on my invoice/receipt from Zoro and wrote the same number on the rebate form.

My item total was over $400 after the discount. And yes, the final receipt only shows a total discount, but the order confirmation I received originally showed itemized totals with the discount applied. Just to play it safe, I sent in both with the rebate form.

Sometime back, during the 30% off Zoro Flash Sale around Christmas time, I picked up an Echo CS-590 60 cc 20" bar chainsaw. Put that to use on 10 trees in one day a few weeks back from 70 to 30 feet tall. This is one amazing saw for around $300ish with the 30% off. If anyone needs a big saw, most capable, pro like quality if not quite weight/hp ratio, and 5 year warranty, I can highly recommend this one. I'll be doing some chainsaw milling with it this summer as well. Can cut through a 12" dia log in about 7 seconds or so. Serious capabilty and much better value than corresponding Stihl or Husqy equivalents. This could be your "only" saw if you wanted, though a bit heavy for cutting every small branch. It is so quick though you can almost pass through small branches like you would with a bush hedge trimmer and almost swing it through 20 at once! A recommended Zoro buy when they have their big sales. Other Echoes are fine too, but this one is a great deal for what it is. - Paul

... except when I ordered a Miller 211 while they were still in stock, but they put my order on hold for no apparent reason, and now I have to wait 2 weeks for them to ship because it's out of stock now.

I'm still a lifelong Zoro flasher. I placed 2 orders (one with my account and my "wife's" account), second order was on my doorstep the next day.

It doesn't surprise me that orders would be placed on hold and then backordered. Zoro was probably absolutely inundated with orders for 211s and their system simply couldn't keep up.

I submitted my order within a minute of the sale beginning and it showed up today.

Consider me a happy Zoro customer! :D

Consider me happy as well. I thought I was going to have to wait 10 days because they were backordered. Received notification last night that a shipping label had been made. Received it before noon today. That's crazy fast shipping!

That's awesome. Glad to hear it worked out so well for you. On another forum someone reported that Zoro overnighted their welder to them. With service like this, my wallet is going to hate Zoro!

I am debating between this or the makita 64cc. Almost bought it on the 30% off but passed. kinda kicking myself now.

Yeah, I was also looking at that same Makita/Dolmar. If I needed a bigger saw, that is what I would be getting and then upgrading it to the 70 cc size after that. But for the 60 cc size, I think the cs-590 is *by far* the best value in chainsaws, esp with the 30% off flash sale when they happen fast. I'll see how it does with the hobby milling but I think it will do well. If you like using chainsaws, you haven't had fun till you try hobby milling and make your own lumber for almost free ! I plan to have this thing the rest of my life if all goes well (both with the saw and my life!) - Paul

I have not been to my buddy's place, but he told me the 211 arrived. I am starting to do the paperwork for the rebate. Did you guys submit it online or mail it?

I scanned the completed rebate/promotional offer form from Miller and the receipt from Zoro into a single .pdf and attached it to an email.

Received my 211 and rest of order yesterday. Submitted the $400 rebate / spool gun form today and received confirmation email that everything looks good. As noted earlier, I did the Digital Elite Helmet Rebate a few months back and everything went smoothly.

One thing I do wonder about the autoset feature is how this is really much different than the printed chart on my HTP which shows recommended power and wire-speed settings for different gauge metals? Not sure what kind of magic I was expecting.

I screwed up and didn't buy the $400 worth of accessories with my 211. I have until July 31st, what's the chances Zoro will run another sale by then? 20% off would be enough.

Has anyone had any experience with zoro shipping by Pitt Ohio Express? When I check under tracking it says: PITTOHIOEXPRESSLTLNOTRACKING

I can see maybe the bin coming by Pitt Ohio but most everything else is small stuff. Should I expect a full size 18 wheeler to be blowing through my residential neighborhood? This is what I ordered.

G0828791 Guidepoint Drywall Bit,HSS,PK16 $14.95 $10.48
G7553481 Cordless Reciprocating Saw W/Battery,18V $329.09 $230.36
G0750976 Bin Unit,72 Bins,33-3/4 x 8-1/2 x 42 In. $125.46 $87.82
G3227542 Stubby Spade Bit Set,4 In. L,6 pcs. $13.92 $9.74
G1821233 Spiral Saw,30,000 RPM,5.0A,10 In. L $64.92
I drive for Pitt Ohio here in Pennsylvania. We have 18 wheelers,24' straight trucks and in some metro areas sprinter vans. But yes I've delivered to houses in a 18 wheeler. Had box inside closed roll up door near the tail and walked up with box under my arm.

How can that be economical?

Well nobody said it was economical. I was the only truck in the area that day so I had to deliver. What people don't realize in the frt. business is some shipments they make a killing some they don't. Its the same with everybody. UPS FedEx same deal

Oddly enough the last time I ordered two fire extinguishers from Zorro they showed up by Semi. Also ordered a 32" TV off of Dell last fall that came freight the same way. Both times truck came from Minneapolis which is 180 miles from me.

Looks like Zoro fixed their search finally?

i.e. if you put two words in, it'll return results with both those words in the item, not just one or the other.

^^^I think their search has been moderately to noticeably better for awhile. I wouldn't call it good, but improved -- not that it really could have gotten any worse.

The side bar that allows you to select for options (brand, category, etc) has also greatly improved recently. They said that they were working on improving their website a little while ago.

They didn't last year (at least not to 30% off).

The next one is early November if they're following the same promotion schedule as last year (which so far, has lined up). I was not a Zoro customer previously so I don't have the emails.

But 30% has been occurring mid-March, mid-May, early November, Black Friday, and after Christmas.

I had to actually speak with customer service to make a change of address. At that time I asked how often they do the 30% sale and the response was once each quarter.

So the next one could be as early as Independence Day or as late as Halloween. At least I've got a while to figure out what I want, err I mean need next. :D

Cool, thank you. Ordered the Milwaukee 2636 14ga shear and an M18 5.0 battery. 30% woulda been better but $335 for those 2 items ain't terrible.
