$300?

I don't see the math here.

I can see how you effectively get below $300 with the Zoro deal, at least at the end... not $300 up front :)

$1292.25 - 30% = $904 - $400 in rebates = $504 - $246 (reasonable price for free spool gun) = $258.

Obviously, I am adding the value of $200 in "stuff" in. It's still a REALLY good deal. For the same price as a Millermatic 211 + spool gun, I could get a spool gun for my 252... thinking of doing the 211... hope Zoro has the 30%!

I know a few people bought $400 in extras before the 30% discount was calculated. Did Miller accept that since the discount was taken off the total invoice rather than each individual line?

I puchased $580 worth of stuff so that the extras added up to be just over $400 after the 30% discount. It would be great to get a $400 rebate for $400 worth of items and only have to pay $280 for them.

Yes, they will - I bought a bit over $400 in extras (Zoro pricing, pre-discount). They did not seem to worry about discounts applied.

My total, including sales tax, was a little over $1300 AFTER the 30% off and sales tax were added back in (~1700 before discount was applied, a bit under $1200 after discount, plus a bit over 100 in sales taxes)

Dont you need to spend $400 in supplies to get $400 rebate? so your looking at
1292.25 for the welder. qty 2 spoolmate 100 for $526.62 = $1818.87 - 30% = 1273.21 - $400 rebate = $873.21.. Ok now we have qty 3 spoolmates 100... What is take home after selling? lets say 150$ each since the market is flooded and people will undercut prices.. so that is 450$ for all 3.. 873.21 - 450 = $423.21 for a miller welder.

Can anyone think of a reason to have a Spoolmate if you already have a Dynasty 200DX for aluminum welding? I have never used a spool gun, so I'm not sure if they have any advantages. I want to jump on this deal if a 30% off discount comes around, but I don't know if I should factor in keeping one of the Spoolmates or not.

That's awesome! If there is a flash sale before the end of July, my brother is getting in on this deal. I will make sure he only buys $400 pre-discount then. I'm surprised they didn't take the discount into account. Essentially you get a $400 rebate and only have to spend $280!

As proven in a page or so back, the spoolmates are clearing $200 on ebay and the market isn't really flooded. In that case, that brings your total below $300.

We had a spool gun hooked up to the old school Millermatic 35 at my previous school. I liked it because it could get me further away from the welder and tank than the standard gun. I used a welder with a traditional gun for in place welding on the table but bigger projects like trailer repairs and such the spool gun was my best friend.

I'm keeping an eye out for the 30% sale again and will get the 211, 0.030 11 lb wire, consumables kit, protective cover, and 2 spool guns. After all said and done with the 30% off and if I can sell the spool guns for $200 each, should be about $350 with the cover, wire, and consumables. Can't complain about that!

I thought it was $200 in supplies for the $400 rebate, or nothing for the $200 rebate... could be wrong though. I added the value of the "freebies" in though, didn't assume selling them for cash.

200$ after fees and shipping?

Give it time.. I am running into this with other ****. Example, Ir cordless impact. was going for 431 shipped and now clowns are selling them for 375$ shipped before fees. Give it time. Any "free'' rebate drops the $$ of the item on ebay.

This spoolmate promo started May 1.. plenty of people have already sold them from this promo.

I've been looking at the spoolmates for a week or so (and had watched them about a month ago). Outside of the 1 goofball who has his priced at $225 with free shipping, I haven't seen them sell below $240 this week. If selling for $240-250 (which most have), you would clear between $190-200. This is assuming you have no seller's discount on ebay.

There is one listed under auction right now that has been bid up to $252 with shipping and still has over a day left to go.

I haven't really been watching, but that makes a great deal even greater.

$250 - 13% fees = 217.50 - shipping = easy math say 200$ each?

$873.21 - $600 = $273.21 For a miller Welder?

I'm thinking about cutting the plug off the Spoolmate 100 and putting the plug off a Spoolmatic on it. Then I could use it on my 252. I never do big jobs, just a small stitch here and there for Al if I had a gun.

Zoro had damn well better do a 30% deal for July 4th... I'm getting excited :p

I believe all Miller welders are still "Made in USA" - specifically here in Wisconsin still (though not all in Appleton.) There are of course lots of foreign parts.

Good to hear. My Lincoln 140 is Hecho en Mexico, not that it hasn't done well for me. But a 211 at 30% off, with rebates and no Paypal disputes to fight....can't say it's not tempting.

I take my hat off to you guys for figuring all this out.

I'm just trying to see if there's some way I can get this to work for me but as international shipping is required I don't think it will be allowed.

It would be great if it was as I have a long list DeWalt cordless and a 211 with spool gun on it. The rebates and discounts would off set the customs duty and international shipping costs.

I want to add, that I had a question about my rebate with them; I bought the wrong spool guns (Lincoln instead of the Miller because I'm an idiot and zoro's website *****). As a result my spool guns would be on a different receipt than my welder which often can screw up a mail in rebate.

I called Miller and got a human being in one ring right here in the US. She transfered me over to another human being (he took two rings to answer :) ) and explained what happened. He confirmed it would be no problem at all and thanked me for my business.

That's how business should be handled and it shows pride in their product and pride in making things here in the US.

So good on Miller.

I've never had a problem with any of my Miller/Hobart stuff. But my understanding is they conduct themselves very well and are quite good to work with.

Miller is also responsible for what's believed to be the largest private residence in the state :)

Impressive house with a serious price tag. I used to wonder how people afforded such things, but over the last few years I've made some friends that turned out to be very wealthy (I had no idea when we became friends) and now I understand. Some people have some very serious means.

But I digress. In my 5 minutes of dealing with Miller it made me very pleased to own their product because they offer a level of service that is how all companies should operate but most fall way short. Millers products certainly aren't the least expensive on the market, but they obviously care about their customers and that's worth a few bucks to me.

Dumb question, To get the miller Rebate, all you need to do is write down the serial number on the rebate form? no need to make a copy and send it with the invoice? I don't see anything on the rebate form other than writing down the serial number and your invoice.

They request a copy of the invoice.

Curious if Zoro is going to have a 30% any time soon...need a new lathe chuck.

They claim they do it once per quarter, and I think they've done one for this quarter already, but maybe for 4th of July they'll do one.

They just did a 20% last week.

I got my coupon for doing the survey. It's $20 off $75 though, which is kinda lame. I doubt it stacks either.

If their quarters start in January, July is the very beginning of the third quarter, so that's good. Fingers crossed.

Out of curiosity, what's the COO of the 211?

I'm a bit curious about this too...

I just recently upgrade my MM 175 for the MM211. I did a little side-by-side comparo before selling my 175. One thing I did notice was the front of my 175 stated "Made in USA" and the 211 has "assembled in usa" type wording.

So I did some digging and found that the early MM 211 machines still had the "Made in USA" wording on the front. I was sort of bummed about it. However, Miller is a standup company known to produce quality products so likely not a big deal.

Just sort of made me curious if there were changes to parts sourcing locations or if they just needed to switch to the "assembled" wording just to stay out of trouble given it's nearly impossible to source some parts in the US these days.
