I got the code from azzido, but got a 15% off in my email this morning (placed my order last night). If anyone wants the 15% code, PM me. It ends July 1.

Edit: Code has been given out.

Yes, they come printed on a glossy in the box with your order, along with another catalog which goes in the burn barrel (similar to the 2 sets of yellow pages I hate getting every year)

I'm now on Zoro's email list. So does this mean I won't know from Zoro that there's a flash sale unless I have a previous order?

I never get emails on flash sales (and I know I signed up), just keep an eye on this thread around holidays, or check the website they usually have a banner on the home page indicating the upcoming sale. The flash sales all share a common coupon code, like JULY4 or whatever.

The coupons in the shipments are one time use.

If zoro is out of stock of an item, can you still order it? Do they only have a certain amount of each item? Is that why white6589 has his shopping cart ready?

No, people setup their carts ahead of time because their website goes down when they have flash sales, but their cart system still works. I think they don't typically see that kind of traffic, so on days when they do they just melt down.

If you want something that is a "hot item" like the Miller 211, be sure to have your cart ready because "in stock" quickly becomes 1 month+ back order. Ask me how I know :lol_hitti

I did get my 211 and spoolgun though. It actually showed in stock when I placed my order, but after a few days of showing pending fulfillment I contacted Zoro and they told me it was on BO. A notification without me having to contact them would have been nice, but it all worked out in the end.

I got my 211 from them really quickly. Must have gotten one of the last ones. I feel bad since I probably won't use it until fall, but I had a 20% off and wanted to get the spool gun + $400 deal.

Does anyone know what size spool of wire comes with the 211? I know it's 0.030", but I need to know the weight.

When I bought mine a couple years ago it was a 2lb spool.

Edit: It was not from zoro..not sure if this is useful info due to that fact.

Scrap that. ENCO has much better prices on wire, but it's Welder's Choice. I doubt it really matters what brand it is, though.

^^^^Okay Thanks, Have my shopping cart set up and ready.

You may want to print out your shopping cart as last time they had the big discount, ALL items in my cart vanished the day before and I couldn't remember everything I wanted to get... So, Now I print it out and if it ever happens again, I have my list.

thats essentially what my order will be.

i went with this starter pack
http://www.zoro.com/miller-electric-welding-protection-pack-xl-large-255-850/i/G7475176/
thoughts on the difference between this one and the one above aside from pricing? Is it worth it?

I also threw in the cover
http://www.zoro.com/miller-electric-protective-cover-millermatic-140-180-211-195149/i/G3737492/

some additional hobart wire

The major difference in those kits is the helmet quality. Especially for a beginner the cheaper will do just fine.

aroslv - thats just about everything to get welding! (minus gas)

Side note: Ive had my MM 211 for a few years and absolutely love it! small/light enough for me to move around, yet enough power for the type of stuff I tend to fab. You guys wont be disappointed.

The only thing I dont like is the price I paid vs this deal!

I bought 1 extra spool. Have gotten zero response on Craigslist at $200 and have only sold 1 of the 2 on eBay. It took 2 weeks to sell that one. For those wanting to go this route, know that it could take a while to sell and won't be a simple flip.

Everyone is mentioning their cart, is there some flash sale I don't know about?

People are assuming there will be one on/around the 4th.

I kinda figured that. That is why i said a couple pages back maybe take home 170 to 180 per spool gun since there are enough on ebay for 240 before fees and shipping

I"m not sure if this is normal or not, but this message is at the top of Zoro's home page:

To our valued Zoro Customers – In observance of the 4th of July holiday our offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, July 6th at 7:00 AM CT. You may continue to place orders online 24 hours a day at www.zoro.com. We wish you and your families a very safe and happy 4th of July!

Will they do a flash sale on their days off?

I figured on it taking a few months to get my money back out. But I had a 0% for 12 month deal on my credit card so I figured it wouldn't be too bad if I had to sit on some "inventory".

Tho at this point I am thinking of returning my spool guns to zoro and just taking the $200 and selling the one free spool gun. It ends up meaning the welder costs a few extra bucks, but there's a lot less ******* for a lot less time.
