I didn't get a welder....
But, I did get a big drill press I have been watching (for the best price) since back around January. It includes free lift gate delivery. Very happy with the price.
Oh, and I also got a cover for my 211, mostly to keep the cables out of my way when I'm not using it.

Dayton or Jet? I've been looking at the 20" G3316135

Fyi- to anyone who ordered $400.00 in accessories to take full advantage of the rebate. Your total purchase in accessories needs to be $400.00 after the 25% off.

where did you see that on the miller rebate site? I spent close to 600 to get set up so i am not worried but i looked at the rebate terms and details and didnt see anything regarding discounts, gift cards or anything. My receipt has the full price for each item listed and the discount is taken at the bottom.

This is not accurate. There are members who spend $400 before the discount and have had the rebates accepted.

Where did you see that at?

I remember reading in this thread from people who took advantage of the last sale and what you stated was not the case.

I Got that info from Miller.

The rebate form has you fill out the price You Paid for each individual item. Not the price paid before discounts.

But it also notes that it must match the invoice. And if the invoice price doesn't discount based on what we actually pay, then our submission would be incorrect.

i just re-read the rebate form (thanks) and it says price paid.

so i'm putting full price i paid that's on the invoice, $253 per (or something like that?)

what Zoro did to the sub-total is up to them and isn't any concern of Miller's.

Exactly what I did on the rebate form. I don't think it will be a problem, especially since I know others in the past did not have an issue with this. It has already been discussed in this thread. I setup my cart a month in advance based off their posts confirming it worked for the rebate. So unless something changed it will not be a problem.

I hope I'm wrong as well. Probably just a disgruntled employee passing misinformation :dunno:

I ordered just over $400 in accessories pre discount. What made me question it, was wording on the rebate form and the order confirmation email. The email has Unit price and amount paid for each line item.

Example:
Unit Price Amount
$6.20 $4.65
$7.04 $5.28
$345.30 $258.97
$47.05 $35.29
$1,292.25 $969.19
Tax $0.00
Total $1,273.38

Sorry for the vent.

ZORO.. why must you make this difficult? I ordered 2 211's (for family members), one on my account and one of my "wife's" account. Ordered them back to back. One shipped out and is set to be here today. The other got put on hold for "credit" reasons. The annoying part is, I called 2 different times throughout the morning yesterday to make sure there were no holdups, each time they assured me there were no issues. Got a call yesterday evening to verify my shipping address. Turns out, their credit dept held my order to verify shipping address, and the order ticket didn't go to the warehouse until they had verified it. WHY DIDN'T THEY VERIFY IT WHEN I CALLED TWICE BEFORE. Now, my second one is supposed to ship out on the 7th. This is not looking good.

Well the good news is your "wife" can order stuff for you now. :)

Yup... now I can make 2 orders during flash sales in case I forgot something on the first!

I only ever created a second account because I typed in credit card number in wrong on my normal account once and wasn't allowed to use the code again.

FYI to anyone with 211's backordered....

I emailed the miller rebate email address yesterday with a question, and continued the conversation with Melissa (the girl who is manages the Miller rebates) by asking her if they would still accept a rebate form if my receipt shows a date of purchase before July 31st but I was unable to send in my form due them being backordered. She said if I included the email chain, a copy of the receipt with a date showing I ordered it in time, and shipping info showing I received it late, they would accept it.

She said that all rebates go through her before processing, so I would advise shooting her an email if you have a 211 backordered and don't want to cancel the order.

Received this from Melissa just yesterday evening concerning my 211 rebate on my Zoro order:

We have received your submission and everything looks good.
We are currently running 3-4 weeks for processing rebate checks and Spoolgun orders (shipping via UPS direct from Miller). Please allow sufficient time for your rebate check and free Spoolgun to arrive (you may receive your rebate check before the spoolgun as Miller is experiencing back orders in some warehouses, but it will arrive).
Thank you for your patience!

what a kickass machine! i ran some boogers on some 1/4" angle that i had in my scrap bin, and damn these inverter machines really really amp it up, the arc is brighter and seems hotter, i kept having to dial back the amps because i felt like i was too hot. but really it's just a different experience than the older transformer machines.

very happy with my purchase and wouldn't have had the opportunity without this thread!

now i need to build some carts.

Inverter? I thought the 211 and it's siblings were transformer machines??

The new one is going to be inverter. That is why they are pilling on all the rebates, gotta clear them out before the new model stops the sale of the old ones.

No Miller for me, but think I got enough pliers.. for now (last 2 I already own). Their paper catalogue is so much easier to use.

Every once and a while the paper catalog has a glitch and it won't let me turn back to the previous page, but it has only happened a couple times.

I love Zoro but their shipping department is costing them a lot of money.

For example, I ordered a bunch of fire extinguishers and they just "threw them in the box." Two went off in shipment. What a mess. In the same shipment they sent three shovels that I didn't order. In another shipment, they sent some florescent lights that arrived in bad shape. In my last order, they sent a $660 Miller heavy duty wheel kit that I didn't order.

I'm shocked to have so many problems. Literally, EVERY order has had an issue. On the positive side, they're a pleasure to deal with and take care of everything. But it's a bit of an aggravation to deal with these issues.

For the heavy duty wheel kit I just received, the box disintegrated and someone had wrapped the whole thing in shrink wrap to hold it together. The parts are just rolling around inside like a rock tumbler, scraping paint off everything. It's going to be a pain just to get it shipped back to them since it weighs 120 lbs.

Inverter should be a lot more portable due to weight. It will also probably be a better weld, but the transformer will still work well. At the price and rebates they offer, it is still a good deal even if the inverter is "better".

Shrink wrap may have been added by carrier when box fell apart in transit. I've only had a few damaged shipments but it was only due to careful handling by the carrier because none have been packed very well. I'm always amazed at how many boxes they manage to use to fulfill one order. Five items usually means 5 boxes, all shipped from the same location on the same day---go figure.

They must not include freight and returns in their profitability reporting, some day they will get the entire picture and make changes,, until then most of my orders come the same way, packed poorly, multiple boxes,, and sometimes a little damage but for the most part stuff shows up fast.

Just made my first zoro purchase 8' Werner step ladder. $99.90. $30 cheaper than anywhere else plus the $5 new member discount made it $94.90 with free shipping and no tax
