An Affordable Track Saw Option

While most people in woodworking tend to emphasize the table saw in their shop, I’ve always put my focus on the track saw. In my Texas shop, dust collection is the key reason behind this. In Hawaii, however, dust collection isn’t as big of a concern. Space, however, is… So, with no real room for a table saw at the moment I’ve called on the track saw once again. Cheap LED Shop Lighting

I don’t have power to the APO yet and will probably do something only temporary this summer. That being said, I’m already thinking about simple lighting solutions and a pal suggested I give these 60-watt LED lights a go. Typically, these are $50 a pair… Cheap enough, right? But right now, they are almost half off of that!

An Update From The APO

Just a quick and dirty update of where I am and what I’m starting with. The Atomic Pacific Outpost is actually just a 10×8 shed sourced from an incredibly exotic manufacturer of outbuildings – CostCo. Right now, I’m facing a few different challenges: The cost of even construction grade materials is crazy high right now, obviously… I have no tools to speak of… I did buy a Milwaukee M18 drill/driver set, but haven’t picked up anything else to speak of yet. Working on the house itself is taking up much of my day and keeping me from doing much to …

The War On Paradise

Not long now… The war against paradise begins with a tiny shop buildout on the island of Kauai. After that, I have 1950’s Sears/Roebuck kit home to work over and massage. But before any of that can happen, I have to have a plan to defend my tools from the stuff that makes paradise, paradise.
