So I’m working on a prototype rack for my Diamondback bed cover (more on that later) and needed some fairly intricate cuts done on 1/4″ aluminum plate. My initial plan was to just use my local water jet joint, but Covid and the snowpocalypse made that damn near impossible. As a stop gap, I decided to try an online laser cutting service called SendCutSend. Essentially, I designed my parts using Illustrator and then sent them a file.
