Personalized And Damn Near Vintage

I’m typically not into reproduction stuff, but my buddy Steve at Garage Art does it so damned well. Lately, he’s been lovingly working on a line of personalized garage hangers done on 24-gauge metal. They are available in a variety of sizes and designs. You can get more information on them here.

And yeah, Steve sponsors us here on The Garage Journal… BUT, this is an unsolicited mention. I just dig this stuff.

In any case, here are some examples:

Now that I might pop for. Nice. $149, a little high. You can get some through Summit HotRod - not quite the same of course - for half that.

EDIT - see now where you can get just the sign for around $75.

For a customize sign, I didn't think the $74 was too bad.....

interesting...... some day I might have to spring for one of those....

I bought one of his signs when I first found this site this past spring. Told the wife it was my birthday present. I now have an idea for Christmas.
:bounce:

The one I got was a metal sign, but I didn't notice if it was vinyl or painted. How to tell?
It looks good, I don't much care either way as it's inside my shop...

vinyl will look like a sticker on the edges. look at the edge of the sign and it should be obvious paint or vinyl.

What are the sizes on the signs? Looks good to me.
Good size for the $ - 16" x 24". The first price I saw apparently was with the bracket and all - still decent after review. $74 for a personalized sign of that size is right in line, with most. These look better I think.

First of all, for custom stuff, I'm one to spend more, knowing it was done with a pair of hands I know about. However, while strolling through the Menards store the other day, they had retro tin signs for around $10. Here's the one I bought, along with a 1:24 '29 Ford I have no affiliation with Menards.

This stuff is all over the internet now. Nothing special & hardly vintage.

Cool.

Are these vinyl on metal or are they painted? I checked the site but it didn't say.
