The Quirky Switch

This is pretty bitchin’… Quirky put their noggins towards developing a modular multi-tool. They came up with the Switch, which is essentially a folding tool with interchangeable bits. Depending on your needs and the size of the tool you want to carry, you simply add or omit bits. Ingenious… I wonder if it’s as durable or reliable as a Leatherman?

I think I’ll order one and report back.

How do you carry it? Looks awfully bulky & cumbersome. I'll stick with my Gerber.

Multi-Tools have always been a great dissapointment to me. They do an ok job on many things but are great at nothing. I'll take my toolbox full of real tools any old day!

I prefer my SOG Multitool. I can change out components as well. They look sweet in black oxide! Oh yeah, made in the USA as well =)

You can't go wrong with something endorsed by Mr. Ermey =)

No question Gary, real tools work better every time. But for a quick & dirty fix till you can get to real tools, a decent multi-tool can get you out of a jam.

This thing is a really cool idea. Is it just me, or does it look like there is a plier like attachment in some of the press pics? Speaking of which, if you look at the website, this thing can be adjusted to 3 different sizes, the smallest of which might be small enough for pocket carry.

I fully agree! My Leatherman comes in damn handy ever now and again!
