That Gedore set is missing 14mm & 21mm sockets, if anyone cares.
Yep, if you're working on Japanese cars, you'll need the 14mm for sure, and the 21mm wouldn't hurt to have also. When I ordered the set, I ordered a 14mm socket also. Good deals on ebay for them.

I have a lot of Gedore, Hazet and Stahlwille. There are only a few other makes I want in my tool box (as I live near Germany, good second hand tools are picked up easily by these makers, so it's easy to maintain a high standard). The first tool I choose to use is however almost always a Stahlwille tool. The ratchets just feel that bit more precise, handtools are just a bit more comfortable to use and fit is always good (and, I'm blunt and up to now in 20 years of my own tools, I only managed to wreck a Stahlwille ratchet and a extension wrench - don't extent them by two meters ......). It was a revelation when someone gave my some Stahlwille tools to replace my first set of elcheapo tools ....... so for me, Stahlwille anytime (eventhough Gedore and Hazet are both brilliant tools as well).

The French made Facom tools were good. If you can find them used, I think you would like them also.

Yes, I actually have some Facom tools as well and they really nice tools. One of my bearing pullers is a Facom puller and that is a really nice precise tool to use, my others (including some Kukko) are very rough compared to Facom.

^ Gedore manufactures in a number of different countries, including India.
Nice. I know before they founded Gedore Red they had a joint venture in India for a budget line. I belive that stopped in the 86. It's interesting they started that back up. Which tools are made in India?

I should rephrase. I believe that they do manufacture for certain markets/regions within those regions. But as far as I understand, EU shouldn't see anything outside of Germany. And any import i've seen in the states is European import. If you do have any specific items that contradict what i said, let me know so I can check it out.
