@nadogail, the tires on the Corvette were balanced when they were new in 2007 but Tire Kingdom used clip-on weights that caused one of the tires to leak when the weight was closest to the ground. Called to have them re-balance the tires with stick-on weights years later and without seeing the tires they refused because of the tires' age.Took a tire to the shop I bought it from because it had picked up a nail. The shop refused to fix the tire because they had tried to sell my son tires for this same car and they said it has weather checks.
I told them that I will take the tire to a shop on Main Street in Chula Vista that will fix it. I generally can bypass many peoples concerns by dealing in Spanish with folks who are not so restricted by unwritten policies.
Took the tires to a no-brand-name tire shop (they may be recent immigrants) and they were happy to do the job for half what Tire Kingdom charges. The TK store is walking distance from my house but may as well be on the moon. I believe their motto is "If you don't have to come back for a do-over, we screwed up."
