With me being the rebel that I am, not caring about following what I consider "stupid" codes, wanting to complete the job and get paid in the most time efficient manner possible, and doing 90+% of my work as a service contractor working in occupied buildings, I usually measure my flex then string it out in the parking lot and pull the conductors in. Then I roll it up and carry it to where it gets installed. Beats the **** out of installing the flex then dragging in all the spools of wire, then fighting the fishtape through while trying to keep my mouth shut about how much this ***** and offending someone. I figure it's not much different than MC cable at that point."Flex Flinging", as I call it is, prohibited. (I guess you didn't read the rest of the thread)
I have also many times left the risers off of both ends of an underground feed until the conductors are in. It makes it a helluva lot easier to both feed and pull when by yourself.
